Good times. They (Japanese Razors) are a rabbit hole that is worth exploring. Watch out they will call out to you like a siren from Homers Odyssey.

The Shave-
Even though I was really enjoying my sleep, the work week begins. So I am kicking it off with an early morning shave and on deck today we have CC Venture. It’s a good soap base and can be super slick if you work it right. The only gripe I have is the scents are a bit too subtle and fleeting. Also grabbed the Zenith and the Slim for a quick and easy. A 20 second load time was all it took to start the magic.
I went with my standard three passes of WTG, XTG and ATG with no drama to report. An outstanding, easy peasy and I am BBS for the win! Yes ... a very nice shave indeed. Had a great lather going on that was really slick. I also held onto the scent the entire shave. The Zenith did decide to shed 3 hairs that I’m aware of, but it’s all good. And as normal, I loaded heavy enough to have plenty of post shave lather while I cleaned my shave gear.
Wrapped everything up with a quick rinse and pat dry. Followed that up with a splash of the AS and everything was right as rain! You know it. I went a bit heavy on the AS, but it won’t help with the longevity. This set also delivers a really nice post shave feel ... it’s no slouch. A great start to the week and who knows, I may run with it for the work week. Life is good!

Heavy on the Aftershave is ALWAYS a good thing!
But yeah...too bad it doesn't help with the longevity...other people NEED to smell you!
