My phone was malfunctioning yesterday and decided to take photos upside down. This next picture was taken by my wife last night. It should give you a sense of scale.

You took the word right out of my mouth. I definitely didn’t think it was that big of a tree from earlier pics. Some serious lumber there! I see brush handles, razor scales, and shaving bowls for days!!!!!

I am planning on 4, maybe 5 projects out of the wood that I didn't promise to other people. My neighbor has been helping a lot and she heats her house with wood, so I promised her the lion's share of it. The guy coming by with the 4ft chainsaw just wants wood as payment, so some of it is going to him.

TOO FUNNY, I literally said Dang in my head before scrolling to see the next 2 comments. Big job !!

You are either really short or that TREE is enormous. I am going with the tree!

Hello all. I have been absent around here as of late. Work has been a little crazy since the hurricanes. Even with closing around 50 claims each week, I am still at around 4 times my normal claim load. Today should be fun though. Every year my work lets family and friends walk through to trick or treat. The whole building of around 1500 people decorates and dresses up. There are some departments that go above and beyond. Last year, one department had everyone dress up as a monster, made false walls, and did lots of the little details to make it look like you were walking through a city street. Then, when you entered, they gave you a nerf gun and had you shoot the monsters as you walked through. I think this is probably my kids favorite part of Halloween. Plus, almost every desk has candy. You can imagine how much they end up with.

No worries Don! I know exactly how busy it gets during hurricanes and other natural disasters! I just hope you are getting compensated for all the hard work you are doing!

The work walk through sounds like a lot of fun. I bet there is a lot of kid laughter and squeals going on. Sounds like it will bring a smile on everyone's face!

Sorry you’ve had to be so busy Don. I hope you have a great Friday and relaxing weekend! The work Halloween party sounds like much fun!
