Today was another great shave. I realized this morning that I was supposed to be doing an every other day thing with the Cella to try to kill it. I had sort of forgotten about that since I have been back. So, I broke it back out today. I haven't weighed it and have no idea how much the container weighs, but it looks to be about 3/8 of an inch thick in a container that is about 3.5" in diameter. I floated a little water on top while I showered, then dumped the excess that didn't get absorbed into my lather bowl. I loaded it for about 30 seconds and got tons of proto lather. As soon as I combined this proto lather with the excess water, I lathered up my face to let it sit and soak in while I got the lather to my preferred consistency. Then I relathered and went at it. I ended up with a 3 pass DSBBSG and I cannot complain. After I rubbed in the Vanishing Cream and cleaned everything up, I stood there looking at the AS. Then I realized that there was a green glow that seemed to be calling to me. I reached back, grabbed it, and came out with THE VEG! I poured out a liberal amount into the palm of my hand then slapped it on my face. I haven't asked, but they probably can smell me halfway across the building. Possibly not though, I haven't been getting any funny looks.

A la Mancha, another busy weekend at our house. VBS is starting next week and we have to transform the church this weekend. It is also starting my month of teaching. Half the kids of my class moved up to the next group, so I will be teaching many kids for the first time on Sunday. Our system is down at work, so we are just sitting here twiddling our thumbs waiting to be able to actually do some work today.

With a shave that smooth you better not complain! LOL

Enjoy the busy weekend

Ruined a perfectly good Cella shave with The Veg? ?

Just kidding. I’ll be using The Veg for the first time today after some yard work and a shave n clean up.

No Tabac with it, so not quite an HUZZAH! moment...so we'll just leave it as a....huzzah

OK, this may or may not be related, but my coworker who sits across the aisle from me had to leave early. She was dizzy and had some blurred vision. They decided that she walked too much at lunch and got heat stroke, but it could also be too much exposure to the veg. We will never know.

Great shave, except for The Veg.

You really should stop poisoning your coworkers with your aftershave.

I smelled you...I just chose not to let you know! Great shave...questionable taste in after shaves!

Back to the straights today. The weight difference between this one and the Waterville is huge. It almost felt like I wasn't holding anything. It is plenty sharp though and skates around the face with ease. It gave me a nice 2 pass DFS. I considered going for 3 passes, but with the kids and dogs fighting, I had to get out of the bathroom. NurseDave, you will be happy to know that the tub is getting lower. I can actually see a tinge of green showing through the soap.

Have a great day everyone.

Good shave with the Torrey today Don. They are very good shavers, and great examples of American steel of that period!

Some great shaves, Don! I also have a Torrey that feels like nothing is in my hand when shaving! Sometimes that seems great, and sometimes I find it disconcerting...

This shave was a quick affair as everyone in the house was already awake. As many have seen from my video, I have to stand right next to the door while shaving. Let me tell you how much fun it is to get smacked by the door while using a straight. Luckily, it does rub a little, so I usually have enough of a warning to at least get it off of my face before the impact when the little ones forget to knock (main reason I haven't fixed it yet). This one was 3 passes resulting in a DSBBS, no G though because there was a little seepage from an old wound that the German tried to make smooth. It did stop with just a cold water rinse. Finished it up with the salve and then my Fireman blend for a great feeling that lasted all day.

This shave was one that I just wasn't feeling a straight for, so I went back to this same razor. I really didn't NEED a shave, but I realized that in the shower after I had already started soaking the boar. Waste not, want not. So, I went forward with the shave, this time being a little more careful around the previous wound and did not make it bleed. I did go with the Stirling witch hazel for my aftershave because it had some aloe in it and although I did not make that spot bleed today, while wrestling with the kids yesterday, my son rolled my daughter into my chin and broke it open again. I figured all the healing it could take the better off I would be. I also thought this would be a little less of a scent that Friday's and I would hate to make her go home again. I ended up with a 3 pass BBS.

A la Mancha, we set up the church for VBS that is happening this week. I was there for over 8 hours getting it done with a large team of people. My wife is teaching in the morning session, and I am only there for background support. My basic job for each VBS we have done is they give me their vision and I make it happen. I also won a new razor this weekend on a bidding website. I now have a Tridente coming to me. The scales are not as ornate as Xeno's but it should be a great shaver. And this one shouldn't have a chip in the blade.
