Pens, inks and related.....

Can someone recommend a good starter fountain pen? And, are any fountain pens made for left-handed writers?

As a lefty, you'll most likely write with a hook (but you can learn not to!) and should probably go with a F or EF nib as well as a fast drying ink like Quink when starting out.

Over the holiday, I stopped in my office and picked up a couple things, including my Pilot Prera and Franklin-Christoph #29 with cursive italic nib. These go with my Kaweco Ice Sport, which has been with me at home since the start of the apocalypse. I didn’t bring any bottles of ink, but am using my small inventory of cartridges. It’s been a nice change of pace.

For Christmas, I also received a Kokuyo Jibun Techo weekly planner. For 3 years I had used a Hobonichi Techo daily planner before switching to a Moleskine Weekly planner last year. Neither the Moleskine nor the Kokuyo are really floating my boat, so I may go back to the Hobonichi next year.

Go Hobo or go home!
