So it was nice to get back to the Essence. I do enjoy the weight more but I was reminded after a couple of strokes to control it more because of that. The only surprise was missing the maneuverability of the Kamisori during the last pass. I think I got better angles with it.

This was one of those shaves where I pulled a soap from the bottom of the pile thinking why do I still have it if I’m not going to use it. It smells like Dior Sauvage and I just wasn’t feeling it so I didn’t follow up with the scent. Guess I hit these types of soaps early in my shaving career and I’m kind of over the perfume dupe stuff.

Well, well, well. Who smells like man, cowboy, and Chad's worn leather chaps? THIS GUY! I'm halfway in vacation mode, but I still need to make sure things are set for my absence. Because I'll be next to my wife on the plane, I'm not going to "hit 'em with the GTB!" so I decided to use it today. Crossing my fingers for our pre-vacation COVID testing tomorrow. It's spreading like the dickens again. Of course it's not as severe, but it can still ruin a lot of plans and mess with work. We've had some staff already with it including one of our most careful and today our MOST paranoid one is home testing. Like I've said, it's fine to me for everyone to have the attitude of it's like the flu now, but then we need to not restrict things because of it either.
