Very nice shave! Hope it was a good day for ya Frank!
Thanks! It's been a good one. The good guys won the first playoff baseball game (The Rays beat the cheating Astros), and I don't really have a preferred team for tonight's Braves-Dodgers game, so I can just relax and enjoy it.

Midday shave with CBL Breakfast Blend.

Razor: Paradigm Diamondback
Blade: Wizamet Super Iridium
Brush: Phoenix Artisan Accoutrements Atomic Rocket
Lather: CBL Breakfast Blend
Aftershave: Aqua Velva Musk
Additional Care:
Osma Tradition Alum Block
Humphreys Maravilla
Roberts Borotalco Talcum Powder

I like Breakfast Blend, although I used a bit too wet of a brush, so the lather never really firmed up as much as I prefer, but it was still plenty slick. The Diamondback slid effortlessly across my face, chopping down the growth as it went. I got a great BBS shave with no irritation. Now for a day of playoff baseball!

Thanks for reading and have a great shave!

Love that soap scent...wish I didn’t have a reaction to it!

Who’s winning?
Right now, the Braves are winning 6-0, threatening to go ahead 2-0 in a best of 7 series. A shocking development. I don't really have a preference. I just want the Rays to beat the Astros. That game is just getting started.

Mid morning shave with a new Astra SP in the Diamondback.

Razor: Paradigm Diamondback
Blade: Astra Superior Platinum
Brush: Simpson Duke D3 Best Badger
Pre-Shave: Proraso Red
Lather: Barrister and Mann Seville
Aftershave: Nivea 2 in 1
Additional Care:
Osma Tradition Alum Block
Roberts Borotalco Talcum Powder

Seville is a very good soap, in the plentiful class of very good. Most of my soaps are very good, a few are good, and a couple are great. The only soap I still own that I don't particularly care for is Arko, because it dries me out. Other than that, I'm pretty easy to please, I guess. The new Astra felt wonderful in the Diamondback, and left me comfortably BBS after four passes with almost no touch up. Now, back to study!

Succes!!!

Razor: Paradigm Diamondback
Blade: Astra Superior Platinum
Brush: Simpson Berkeley 46 B
Lather: Ethos Succes
Aftershave: Ethos Succes Skin Food Splash
Additional Care:
Osma Tradition Alum Block

Today's shave was a little rushed, due to an impending Dr's appt., But I still had time to enjoy Ethos Succes Soap and Skin Food Splash. The shave went well, the Dr's appt. went well, and I stopped at Target and bought a Cremo EdT I was interested in, and which, upon smelling it, I find to be a terrific value. I'll definitely be getting more Cremo scents. It's just too good of a deal.

Vince Gill is now a touring member of The Eagles. His voice is beautiful and handles the Glenn Frey register with ease. I think it's an inspired choice!

I wanted to join Columbia House, but my parents wouldn't let me.
It turned out to be a debacle. I wasn't hip to keeping up with refusing the selection of the month, and ended up with some stuff I didn't want but had to pay for. Life lesson learned.

Ethos Succes on two days growth. A real pleasure!

Aftershave: Ethos Succes Skin Food Splash
Additional Care:

My Dossier Aventus dupe arrived yesterday, so I went with Succes so everything would match. A four pass BBS, and I'm still smelling the pineapple goodness!

A sublime Sunday shave.

Razor: Paradigm Diamondback
Blade: Wizamet Super Iridium
Brush: Simpson Chubby 2 Super Badger
Lather: Ariana and Evans Kaizen
Aftershave: Captain's Choice Venture
Additional Care:
Osma Tradition Alum Block
Humphreys Maravilla
Roberts Borotalco Talcum Powder

I'm still not crazy about the scent of Kaizen, but it's really a great performing soap. I just watched @BarberDave using the upcoming CBL Orion, and I'm excited to give it a try. I've already spent my shaving budget for the month on a new Simpson Milk Churn brush and some soaps, so maybe by next month Orion will be available. Today I loaded a new Wizamet into the Diamondback and lathered up the Kaizen. It's such a dense, creamy lather that takes a ton of water. Very slick, allowing for cleanup after the fourth pass with just a wet face. I used Captain's Choice Venture, and my EdT was Dossier Musky Oakmoss, which just smells great! It was a smooth, close shave and a great way to kick off the week!
