Tried out Spearhead Seaforth Spiced this morning. It's a great performer with a nice rich scent.

Razor: Paradigm Diamondback
Blade: Wizamet Super Iridium
Brush: Simpson Duke D3 Best Badger
Lather: Spearhead Seaforth Spiced
Aftershave: Indian Old Spice
Additional Care:
Osma Tradition Alum Block
Humphreys Maravilla

I guess I was expecting Seaforth Spiced to be reminiscent of Old Spice, since the original is often cited as a competitor, but they're very different. It's an impossible scent for me to describe, except to say that it reminded me of some baked scones I once had. It's a sweet, spicy smell. Very rich on the soap. I may get the splash, and I'm definitely getting the Heather soap. At least, I plan on it when it's available. The soap performs great, just like the other Spearhead experimental that I bought a couple of months ago. Rich, dense lather, slick, and plenty of residual slickness. I did four passes with the Diamondback and the Wizamet is still going strong after 5 shaves. I'm BBS smooth after four passes. I finished up with some Indian Old Spice, which I love. I smell great!

Thanks for reading and have a great shave!

I used TOBS cream for the first time in months.

Razor: Paradigm Diamondback
Blade: Wizamet Super Iridium
Brush: Simpson Berkeley 46 B
Lather: Taylor's of Old Bond Street Tobacco Leaf (first use)
Aftershave: Myrsol 1919 Aftershave
Additional Care:
Osma Tradition Alum Block
Humphreys Maravilla

TOBS Tobacco Leaf is new, I think. When I first started wetshaving, I used TOBS Grapefruit and Proraso Red. I loved both, and still do, lo these many soaps and creams later. But when I saw the new Tobacco Leaf Cream, I just had to try it. TOBS Tobacco Leaf smells like tobacco leaf in the same way that TOBS Sandalwood smells like sandalwood, which is to say, not at all, and very pleasantly. It has a mild, floral scent that I like a lot. Of course, bowl lathering was effortless. I put a new Wizamet in the Diamondback and went to town on my stubble. I got an uneventful four pass BBS. I finished with another old favorite, Myrsol 1919, which is Jasmine and menthol. Awesome! It was a great shave all around!

Thanks for reading and have a great shave!

I'm currently studying to do Computer Support. I was a System Administrator 20 years ago, and I'm bringing my skills up to date. But while I do this, which will take 6-9 months, I'm looking for a work from home job, which seems to mean phone support, I'm not really picky about it, since it's a temporary job.

Have you checked out udemy.com? I am currently trying to learn python. I think some of the certs are also valid education on linkedin.com

And if you catch the sales on udemy, the courses will be $10-15. Can’t beat that.

TOBS is a good cream that gets the job does and smells great. But that is really about it. Nice Shave!

Thanks for the tip! I got an Android Programming Nanodegree from Udacity last year, but I've not checked out udemy. I like learning online. The problem with the Android degree is that with each new version of Android, so much changes that some of the courseware was right on the edge of outdated.

Some of the udemy courses give you lifetime access and they are updated as material changes as well.

I'm amazed at how affordable the courses are! My Udacity course was $500! I'll definitely be checking this out!

Today I used my favorite of all scents, PAA Atomic Age Bay Rum.

Razor: Rex Supply Envoy
Blade: Wizamet Super Iridium
Brush: Simpson Chubby 2 Super Badger
Pre-Shave: Proraso Red
Lather: Phoenix Artisan Accoutrements Atomic Age Bay Rum Shave Soap
Aftershave: Phoenix Artisan Accoutrements Atomic Age Bay Rum
Additional Care:
Osma Tradition Alum Block
Humphreys Maravilla
Roberts Borotalco Talcum Powder

I've used a lot of different soaps, Aftershaves and EdT over the years, but when it comes down to it, my all-time favorite scent family is Bay Rum, and my favorite Bay Rum is Atomic Age. The richness, the smokiness, the longevity. Nothing matches it. Combine that with the superb performance of the CK-6 base, and I guess I'd have to say it's my favorite combo. The Envoy did it's superb job, and I'm totally sold on the excellence of the Wizamet blade. I'm going to stock up on them for the long term next month, as this months budget will be going for a Simpson Milk Churn. Speaking of Simpson, I can safely say now that I'm happy with my purchase of the Chubby 2 Super. I think the Duke 3 is less of a lather hog, but the feel of the Chubby 2 is just so gentle and luxurious. I use it twice a week, and find myself looking forward to those days a little more than I usually do. It was a great shave today, from beginning to end!

Thanks for reading and have a great shave!

Nice report Frank. I often hear about PAA Atomic Age being folks’ favorite bay rum! Glad the Chubby 2 is working well for you.

Woke up early, so I shaved early.

Razor: Gillette Fatboy Adjustable
Blade: Wizamet Super Iridium
Brush: Omega Pro 48
Pre-Shave: Proraso Red
Lather: Cella Red Shave Cream with Shea Butter
Aftershave: Stirling Black Cherry
Additional Care:
Osma Tradition Alum Block
Roberts Borotalco Talcum Powder

Went with Cella again because it was out. Tried dialing back the Fatboy to 4 since it was only 18 hours growth. It's a great razor! Used Stirling Black Cherry because it goes with the Cella. It's a stone fruit thing I guess. Man, the menthol in this stuff is freezing!

Thanks for reading and have a great shave!

That’s the one thing I don’t yet have for an almond soap, a closely fitting AS and frag. I think I’m going to do the Moon Soap Amaretto again today, but it’ll have to go with Skin Bracer and something else.

Feeling autumnal today.

Razor: Paradigm Diamondback
Blade: Wizamet Super Iridium
Brush: Simpson Duke D3 Best Badger
Pre-Shave: Proraso Red
Lather: Wholly Kaw King of Oud
Aftershave: Brut Splash On
Additional Care:
Osma Tradition Alum Block
Roberts Borotalco Talcum Powder

Yesterday's mild Fatboy shave didn't last very long, so it was back to the Diamondback today to insure a smooth, irritation free but Close shave. There's a chill in the air this morning, so I broke out the scuttle and Wholly Kaw King of Oud, which I think is a Fall-type fragrance. It's dark, even the lather is slightly amber in hue. It's a great performing soap as well. The Diamondback did its thing and I'm BBS with no problems. I love this razor!

King of Oud is a favorite of mine. I love the scent and that soap is one of the best in my opinion.

Sunday Special shave with MdC Vetiver.

Razor: Paradigm Diamondback
Blade: Wizamet Super Iridium
Brush: Simpson Chubby 2 Super Badger
Pre-Shave: Proraso Red
Lather: Martin de Candre Vetyver Shave Soap
Aftershave: Mennen Skin Bracer
Additional Care:
Osma Tradition Alum Block
Humphreys Maravilla
Roberts Borotalco Talcum Powder

Some days I like Vetiver, although I don't really like smelling like Vetiver. MdC is great for this, as I can enjoy the scent while I'm using the soap, but it doesn't really leave any scent behind. I still haven't made a dent in the stuff, and it'll probably outlive me. It's really a great soap.

Thanks for reading and have a great shave!

Don’t like smelling like vetiver?! [emoji2962]
Not really. At least not the ones I have. That's just MdC and Fine Green Vetiver AS. They both are a bit earthy for me. I never use the Fine, and although I enjoy the MdC, I'm glad it washes off.

Revisited Stirling Satsuma. Fighting off autumn with citrus.

Razor: Paradigm Diamondback
Blade: Wizamet Super Iridium
Brush: Phoenix Artisan Accoutrements Green Ray
Pre-Shave: Proraso Green
Lather: Stirling Satsuma
Aftershave: Jovan Musk Aftershave
Additional Care:
Humphreys Maravilla

The Green Ray is a little too floppy for my taste, but it is, accordingly, very soft on my face. I think I prefer a little more backbone, but it did the job. I broke out Satsuma after way too long. I used Stirling's body soap version for a while, and for that purpose, the scent is delightful. So it was nice to smell it again. Gonna have to order more body soap. Four passes with the Diamondback and I'm BBS and irritation free. Just another really great shave!

Thanks for reading and have a great shave!
