Day 3 of "April Shave Theme A-B-C" Edition

C is for Clubman

Love it or hate it, you gotta give it respect for the fact that it's been going strong since 1810, Today I did the full monty; Clubman shampoo, deodorant, aftershave & talc. The PAA shave soap isn't a direct match for the splash. It's more along the lines of the shampoo and deodorant. Still, if you were to use it, you'd know what it was going for.

I almost didn't want to read on! Thought you were going to talk about something else...

I personally am not a big barbershop scent guy or am particularly fond of Pinaud Clubman. Just way too powdery for me. But you are right...Clubman deserves respect because it is an Iconic scent! Same as Lilac Vegital. You might not like it...but respect it...I mean...John Wayne wore it. I can make an exception for some Barbershop scents. Fine American Blend...while not entirely barbershop...is a nice interpretation. I do like some Barbershop scents that are light on the powder and have some bright citrus and a bit of sandalwood in it. Just smells fresh and great!

Either way...great shaves Mark!

Man, going all out with the Clubman! Just missing some hair product!

I’m indifferent to the scent. It doesn’t get brought out much though, in favor of things I do like better.
