Thanks for the intended compliment. A supertrucker amongst drivers is a pejorative - a driver who breaks all the rules, aka a dumbass. At our company a driver will say, “I haven’t had a vacation in five years. I’ve had one load after another, but I’m making the money.” He might be a supertrucker. That sort of thing. Indeed, truck driving is a different sort of lifestyle. Even the administration staff almost expect you to forfeit any sort of personal life. If it weren’t for wife working too I couldn’t take the kind of time off between loads as I do. Owner-operatators virtually live out of their trucks. Missing the kids grow up, missing school and sporting events is common. Divorce rate is exceptionally high. Most drivers today are lonely, no support system at home. Most eat out every meal. Obesity, heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes are insane. I have a wonderful wife, a great home life and support, but I work at it too. My wife keeps me reasonably healthy with home cooked meals I take with me from home. I have a refrigerator in there truck that will hold 20 Rubbermaid containers. Trucking is often a career for the least educated or failures at other. I consider myself educated and intelligent, but I did fail at two previous careers. One doesn’t get too many chances to start over in life and the cab of a truck is where we often land. I like driving a truck and I have a happy life… and that’s good enough.
i have enough trouble driving my crappy car to work let alone thinking about how you guys reverse one of those giant things. Whilst it'd be difficult to describe me as a 'people person', i do like to make it home each night, swear and close the door! As i'm older i pay more attention to the diet too, and i'm lucky my wife can cook and when push comes to shove, so can i.
One the most intelligent men i met was a hippy that solved crosswords in minutes, made stained glass windows, and sold chilies on a market to make cash!

i work in Texas as a CAD drafter for the oil, gas, marine industries and i draw gaskets mostly. It seems we are very lucky indeed.

I figured a supertrunk would be attached to a super elephant. That would make it the wielder of the supertrunk, or supertrunker. Pachydermis giganticus. 😜
What would this look like? My wife, HRH, calls me 'Trunk' and one of her sexy female friends calls me 'Trunky' which is rather endearing. i'm sure there are some talented photo-shoppers on here that could make that! i have the avatar i because when i started SR shaving i had a pink face and missed whiskers! Likely some lawyer will get on my case about it.
i like the Latin, especially as i recently bought a vintage Carborundum hone and recall my mother quoting 'nil illegitimi carborundum' which is pig Latin for 'don't let the b------s grind you down.'

BTW, i was impressed with your lathering prowess at the Shave Con.

For a bit of fake Latin, and follows the Trunk Monkey, ask Gerald!

Wild? Actually I was quite livid! 😭😭😭

Ok, I apologize for the music track. I’m not an expert on all these new fangled gizmos. I see a button, I might push it.
I kinda like it, added a fair amount of suspense to the shave! Thanks for homage! The easy aces is a fantastic razor and I’m always on the lookout for a second one just in case mine comes to an unceremonious demise…

I’m still learning tricks, add-ins, gizmos with the editing software. I like gizmos and special effects. I had a nice shave this morning. The Wacker razor had to be refreshed due to micro chips and tugging, but all turned out well. @Luecke3262 The Rose MdC was a satisfying scent and potent - a traditional rose scent. Enjoy the shave, even with the addition of the gizmos.

Awesome, I’ll check this out this evening. Glad to hear it’s on the stronger side! Thanks!

Thanks for posting these!
I like doing these videos. When I started late 2020 I was editing, consuming my night time in the truck, and grew weary. I discontinued doing them, but I missed it. I started back, but no editing. Shave, record, slap together, post. I told my step-daughter just today, it’s easy to record and slap-post it up. So thanks for watching.

That’s how I do it. I paste the pre and post segments and out the door. I do try and tailor the hook picture. Sometimes I do extensive editing when something disastrous happens during filming.

The soap is intriguing, my only rose soap now is a George Trumper Cream, and while it smells nice - the performance is not on a par with the MdC from the look of it. My favorite rose of all time was from some guy called Chris Lindsay that made a concoction called Black Rose Oud. Maybe you heard of him!

i never understood the snobbery against Gold Dollar razors and i have about 3. Because they're Chinese perhaps. When you start in this game, the wife will not let you buy a $400 razor! They are good to learn to shave with, good to learn to hone on, and close or under $10 a pop.

Hope you get you truck fixed soon, but the spare parts are not that easy to get just now.

The parts were all delivered today, but no mechanic on-duty. Returns tomorrow. Should be done by Friday.

I’m of the opinion the bias against Gold Dollars is financial $$$. Guys who restore and hone for money don’t want beginners to buy cheap Gold Dollars or learn to hone from the get-go, but dependent on the “expert” restorers and honers. I could go on here, but this is a pet peeve. Too many shavers have shown the “reasonable“ dependability of the Gold Dollars.

Yes, the MdC Rose was very nice. I got 5 new A&Es in today. More on that later.

Tomorrow’s shave will feature MdC Citrus, the last of the five. I’ve heard so much from others about A&E it was time to try them. Also, I’m thinking about getting a few Barrister and Mann’s. Four or five. Any suggestions welcome.

For Barrister and Mann, I only have two current production sets by them. Spice Mélange and Lavinelle both lather amazingly, but the scents may not be for everyone. Some of my favorite scents ever are Lime-Lavender-Cedarwood, Fougere angelic, and Fougere Gothic, all are special releases by them and the Gothic is my FAVORITE FALL/Winter scent. I don’t think you can go wrong with them, they have some really interesting takes on scents and a quality base!

The MdC Agrumes is a nice, fresh citrus scent, about as potent as the lavender in the Original scent. Lathers up just fine. The shave was with a nice W&B wedge. Enjoy the show.

The truck is ready. I called dispatch for a load tomorrow. No long loads available. I’ve got about two hour work to set up the sleeper berth. Had to clear it out when it went into the shop. So I wait some more.
