Wife stuck her head in the door earlier today and said there were "baby bucks" out back, and I said "Baby bucks"??? She had heard a lot of noise in the woods and she saw several small deer with little antlers. By the time I looked there was only one left but he froze and stared at me for a few seconds before running away. Very young with little teeny pointy antlers that were barely taller than his ears, glad to see that after having coyote problems a couple of years ago.

Just a turtle, some folks mistakenly call them "snappers" but they are "sliders", the common varieties around here are "yellow bellied" "red eared" and "painted".
