Yep, tall hair was common on the old barber brushes back then, lathers fast, and really covers your face! Gets lather on my glasses too.

Yeah, I love the handle. Not sure I'd like the long bristles.

I’ve still got a couple extra long boar knots I had made for my rubberset. I had/have 24 and 26 but I don’t recall which I have left. I like the classic look but they definitely bloom a bit once used.
