Gear: Gillette Prewar Tech, Astra SP blade, RR Big Bruce synth brush, CBL Steel Grey Fougere soap, homemade witch hazel/aloe mix, LNHC Barber Shoppe post shave elixir, and Dior Homme Parfum to finish!
A bit tired and sore this morning, but I’m up! Work out last night was an endurance class…phew!
Pretty darn good shave this morning. My new frags came in yesterday, so I had to make sure they were the star today. First use of DHP, not too shabby! It smells fairly powdery off the bottle atomizer but when sprayed it opens up into an dark, cocoa-like (but not gourmand), woody/nutty scent. Can’t wait to see where it goes on dry down. It’s a very unique scent! Looking forward to giving it more usage!

Thanks gents! Jury is still out at the moment. It’s got a really nice leathery/chocolatey vibe but that powder hung around too. The missus said it smelled like baby power this morning after I sprayed it…but then she says that about most frags I’ve tried. I think her sniffer may be busted.
More experimentation needed!

Friday…huzzah! I’m so tired lol.
Great shave this morning. Almost an exact repeat of yesterday’s but maybe a bit better. The star of this morning’s shave was Dior Homme Intense…a brother of DH Parfum. This one give a smack in the face of iris up front with a nice vanilla/marshmallow/chocolate as its drying down. Where DHP skirted the edge of gourmand for me, with that accompanying powder, DHI takes the gourmand plunge and has very little to no powder. It’s a lighter feeling fragrance from DHP but still a warm/dark scent in general. It might be more my speed though…more experimentation needed! (Missus says it still smells like baby powder)
So close to that lovely weekend! Cloudy and overcast today and the next couple. Little bit of rain last night…very nice! Bring on the weekend!

Back to the usual Saturday routine! Little extra bit of a sleep in, up for an OT workout, coffee and a breakfast treat out, then back home for chores. Laundry and holiday deco to be taken care of.
Great shave this early afternoon. I really miss my warm water (and soft water too) shaves! It’s been far more convenient though to wake up a bit later and get er dun with a cold water shave on work days, instead of running water and waiting for the temp to heat up. Finished off with a plethora of Azzaro PH spritzes…ooooooooh yes

Gear: Gillette Prewar Tech, Astra SP blade, Spartan Burl synth brush, CBL Sir Fougere soap, homemade witch hazel/aloe mix, Skin Bracer AS, and CD Homme Parfum to finish!
Up for church this fine Sunday morning!
Great shave…not a whole lot to take care of from yesterday’s shave if I’m being honest…a whole 19 hours later! Yes, the last Tech shave was that good! Had to circle back around to Homme Parfum…because of there was a day to overspray and give it fair game without too much repercussion, today is it! Sprayed heavily, 6-7, and whole the missus reported the same () it was a whole different experience for me than the first time. Those first sprays after travel must have settled/separated/altered what was already primed in the atomizer. Today’s spritzes had some powder (which was the major “problem” last time) but the opening notes were totally different, in a great way. Heavy, smooth, worn leather, wood, with a bit of a iris, and a dark fruity orange tinge…yum. Now some of the edge-skirting gourmand nutty chocolate is coming into play a bit. Looking forward to the rest of the dry down!
Most of the chores were competed yesterday, including the holiday pack up, so today is a chill day. I think we’re going to try and visit a bird sanctuary for a bit to let the middle son try out the binoculars he wanted for Christmas and enjoy some nature.
