Shave #1 (500 Open Blade Shaves) of 2022:
Gear: Gillette Prewar Tech, Astra SP blade, Graydog Art Deco brush, CBL Sir Fougere soap, homemade witch hazel/aloe mix, Sir Irisch Moos AS, and Miyake L’Eau D’Issey Pour Homme to finish!
Typical Saturday to start off the New Year…including a morning workout at OT, breakfast/coffee date with the missus, and some loads of laundry.
Pretty nice early afternoon shave to clean up. Have this L’Eau D’Issey one more shot to impress me or move me to keep using it…nope. Just not my cup of tea for whatever reason.
Hope y’all’s first day of the year is off to a good start!

Gear: Gillette Prewar Tech, Astra SP blade, Stirling 2-band synth brush, CBL Steel Grey Fougere soap, homemade witch hazel/aloe mix, Ogalalla Bay Rum & Sandalwood AS, and Ferragamo Oumo to finish!
Last day of the weekend…le sigh.
Started off with a good shave at least! Surprised myself and just realized I haven’t swapped any special soaps in for the weekend! Oh well. Topped off with the last of my Uomo sample (sadly) and I’m quite gourmand scented today! Yummy!
Church in the park this morning. Cold days ahead but also mostly sunny this week. Hope we get some more rains before the winter leaves us.
A lot of distracted thoughts this morning, and we’ll this whole weekend, centered around work. Not for myself but for my patients.

Great shave to help wake me up. Definitely a bit groggy this morning. A nice clean, fresh frag combo to round off the scents…excellent!

Ugh, another groggy morning. Not sure what’s goin on with that.
Great shave though! Sir Irisch Moos combo with a sweet, woody, smokey new frag sample to top things off - By The Fireplace! Almost a gourmand sweetness to this woody scent, similar to WSP’s Mahogany but a bit lighter…but the lingering undertones are those as if you were to smell your clothing after a nice cold evening around a campfire. Definitely a @NurseDave type scent I think!
