If you have to do something...

Great shave Chris!

If you like the Fine Platinum After Shave, then yes you should get the cologne!

Thanks Craig!

Free Shave Day:

Gear: RR Game Changer, Astra SP blade (2), RV Egg w/ Tuxedo knot, D.R. Harris Sandalwood, and Proraso Red AS to finish.

Shave video made today...this one goes out to NurseDave's dad!

Great stuff Chris, and congrats on 15 years with SWMBO!! Looks like you're starting to figure out the Shavemac, too. I've found that with dense badger brushes, the flow through lather which comes out at the base needs to be constantly re-agitated each pass. When in doubt, load more, it's only soap and in the grand scheme of things, pretty inexpensive...even when talking about some of the more expensive stuff.

Great video Chris! I have to say...I rather like your musings during the shave. Your video today really detailed your shave and how you do things. I appreciate it!

Getting caught up Chris from the last two days. I will watch the video later today when back at the hotel.

Nice shave and thorough video Chris

Thanks for watching Dave!

Thanks for the tip Josh! I think when I use it I’ll stick with bowl lathering with it for now.

No worries Chad, thanks for taking the time!

Free shave:

Gear: RR Game Changer, Astra SP blade (3), RV Egg w/ Tuxedo knot, Proraso Green croap, and Proraso Green AS balm to finish.

A little bit of a hiccup at the start of the shave. When I was building lather, a little speck of Green shot into my eye. Let’s just say menthol in the eyes is not pleasant, for a minute I felt Chad’s pain.

The shave was great otherwise. Proraso is pretty much as foolproof as TOBS. The Green made things ultra pleasant for the shave and cleanup, giving a nice, steady cooling effect the entire length of the shave.

3 standard passes with the Game Changer and I’m at about 80%+ BBS with the rest DFS+.

Loving the scent and feel of the balm. I wish they would make a similar one for Red! Or if they do, I haven’t seen it yet.

I’m back to work for the week starting today. Shouldn’t be too busy, though we do have a program running this week at the church called Family Promise.

Transitionally homeless families get a room and meals for a little while as they save or are in the process of finding new housing. Local churches and missions rotate weeks of duty and providing shelter. It just gives the families a little financial breathing room while they get back on their feet. Usually it goes off pretty well as these folks are screened and are definitely not from the chronically homeless population. It’s a good ministry.

Happy Tuesday all!

Nice shave. Proraso red has earned a permanent place in my den. I like the C. O. Bigelow version of the green also. The stuff just works.

I agree that it would be nice to have a red balm. The red splash is wonderful stuff.

Awesome ministry work. And also very good shave. Proraso is great soap for sure.

Good Shave Chris and i think that the ministry work in today's "church" is something we have failed to stress enough. that could be regional or just my opinion though.

Thanks TJ!

I will say that there is quite a consumer church culture around here, folks too quickly and easily shopping around or attending but not helping with the harvest if you know what I mean. A lot of things are still done by a usual core of folks, who every prays don’t burn out too quickly.

Free shave day:

Gear: RR Game Changer, Astra SP blade (4), RV Egg w/ Tuxedo knot, Tabac soap, witch hazel, and RR The Stallion to finish!

Today is a shout out shave to Tim and Chris, who with their Tabac and Moos shaves inspired me to pull out this one. It’s been a while since I’ve brought out the Tabac. I love the scent, I know it is a polarizing one though. This was a christening day for both the RR GC and the RV Egg! And I figured this legendary soap would also help my continued efforts to cleanse or mask the smoke scent that is slowly coming out of the brush. ?

In all a great shave! Tabac likely has the greatest slickness and shave feel out of all the classics that I’ve tried so far, begrudgingly perhaps on par or maybe a hair better than Cella.

I also tried some straight up witch hazel after rinsing off my lather soak (ala KJ style I guess!). Definitely held my breath for a minute while the stinky scent dissipated, but the feel was quite nice, as expected - cutting it into my Pinaud and Brut AS has elevated those products quite a bit.

Typical 3 passes leaves me 90%+ BBS!

Going to be a quiet day at work today. Hopefully the shift passes quickly.

Happy Wednesday all!
