If you have to do something...

Nice shave! Techs are great shavers, but don’t always get the recognition they deserve.

Good to hear it’s not a poo brown day. So you don’t have to wear a resperator to work today? Hope your work day is easy today! Happy Friday!

It might be worth it to walk around wearing an SCBA. They're only slightly more heavy than a surgical mask. 🤪 I hope some weather pushes it out of the state soon or at least dissipates it a bit.

You've inspired me to use my Canadian 50's Tech! I was planning on trying the Gem MMOC, but the Tech sounds really nice today. Thanks!

Excellent! I hope your shave is as satisfying as mine was!

Shave #256 (435 Open Blade Shaves) of 2020:

Gear: Feather AC SS folding, Feather Pro blade, Gillette Tech, Gillette Platinum blade, SV/TSC il Re Tasso d'Oro brush, SV 70th soap, homemade witch hazel/aloe mix, SV 70th AS, and Guerlain Vetiver to finish!

Corona Virus Official Day 181:

Up a bit early, as the missus has a Zoom meeting to host...and I’m sure a sleeping, snoring husband would not make a good backdrop.

Tim’s post stuck in my head while choosing my accoutrements for the morning shave, peer pressuring me to bring out the Feather...and I’m glad he did! Today was also the day for me to take my il Re Tasso d'Oro (which had spent all the day before undergoing Dave’s badger brush treatment process) out for its inaugural shave! A nice, cleansing shower made for perfect prep. Il Re Tasso d'Oro had been soaking in my brush mug for the duration. Some quick flicks to rid it of excess water and it was on to the bloomed SV 70th for a quick 10 second load, then up to the skin for face lathering. Dang, this knot feels monstrous...but also luxurious! The weight and tactile feel of the brush is perfect. Lather was whipped up in no time. 2 smooth passes with the Feather and a pass with cleanup for the Tech, very nice shave. Overall il Re Tasso d'Oro has lost about 5 hairs, between the defunk/gel process, but that’s to be expected; I think I’ll just keep it away from the stickier soaps, like Lisa’s to be sure. Overall this gentle lather beast is a very welcome addition to the den!

Chores on the roster today, as well as waiting to hear final word on whether or not services are green-lit for tomorrow. Weather is turned beautiful in the last couple days; we’re in the 60s at night and upper 80s for days. Air quality remains highly unhealthy though, being in the mid 200s right now.

Have a great Saturday all!

Air quality is bad up here in the Puget Sound. Kind of sounds like the entire west coast is having air quality issues with all the fires going on.

Sounds like an enjoyable shave. Think I'll be using SV for my next shave. It's been a while since I've used it.

Yea, we’re all definitely in the 💩 pot along the West Coast! Hope you and yours are safe up there!

Thanks. It was a very nice shave. SV always feels great for me, especially with the AS follow up!

It is! It’s high time we get some fresh air roll in through here and let the kids outdoors!
I assume church services would be indoors. Kids trapped indoors would have made me nuts when I was young. We went out and played in nearly any weather, except heavy rain.

Shave #257 (436 Open Blade Shaves) of 2020:

Gear: Feather AC SS folding, Feather Pro blade, Schick L injector, Schick blade, SV/TSC il Re Tasso d'Oro brush, CBL Barbershop soap, homemade witch hazel/aloe mix, Lucky Tiger AS, and Terre d’Hermes to finish!

Corona Virus Official Day 182:

Actually felt rested when I woke up this morning. A shame it took so many days to get there...back to 5:30 am wake up the next two days.

Had time for a shave before services were posted up online for the day. Brought in the Feather again and switched out the Tech for the L injector. Brush lost a few more hairs today and hogged the lather a tad. Still came away with a good shave though! Wrapped it all up with a couple spritzes of TDH (only about one more use in this sample sadly) and I’m golden!

Light breakfast with a hot cup o joe. Services. Finishing up lawn watering. That’s pretty much going to be my day!

Have a blessed Sunday all!
