Gear: Gillette ‘59 Fatboy, Astra SP blade, Paladin Harlequin Chief 26mm brush, SV 70th soap, homemade witch hazel/aloe mix, SV 70th AS, and Guerlain Vetiver to finish!
Corona Virus Official Day 147:
Nice sleep in. Woke up with just enough time to have some breakfast and an iced coffee before tuning in to online services. Then it was out to wash the dogs and get the last of the lawn watering going.
Showered n shaved after all that. Once again with a tip of the hat to Frank, I decided to bring out the ‘59 Fatboy to pair with my SV 70th setup. It’s been a while since I used this razor but still an excellent shave on setting 3...smooth as heck, very little blade feel. Topped off with the AS and Guerlain Vetiver. Bellissimo!
Today marks 17 years since the missus and I tied the knot at the youthful age of 20. I’m a lucky guy...lucky she hasn’t yet figured out what a doofus I am! Hope to keep up that facade for at least another 50 years....

Corona Virus Official Day 148:
Another day!
Decent shave today. Decided to go all piratey and use my bay rum setup, which probably hasn’t been used in half a year or so. What’s a piratey shave without an open blade either? So the Feather got the tap too! A little bit of irritation, from the Astra I think, but nothing lasting.
Yesterday’s anniversary day ended up pretty nicely in all. A great day spending time with the kids and the missus. The biggest hiccup ended up being dinner. The place we ordered from was a half hour drive one way...which was fine...except I placed the order hours before pickup and when we got there, the order hadn’t been made yet. So we got stuck with an extra 30 minute wait in the parking lot, annoying but it was whatever at that point. 30 minutes back home to find out that one of our food items didn’t make it in the bag (partially our fault for not checking I guess?)...so another hour to go again and come back. To the manager’s credit though, things were made as right as possible by his offer to make us our missed item and give us a second order of our main meal courses by way of apology. So by the time we finally sat down to eat, we had quite the feast before us! Enough to share the boxes of untouched leftovers with a neighbor anyway.
Today? Just another day. We’ll see what shapes up!
