Shave #131:
Back to some semblance of normalcy today!
Gear: Feather AC SS, Pro blade (6), RR GC, Astra SP blade (2), RR Big Bruce, TOBS Sandalwood, and homemade Brut AS decant.
The video yesterday was fun to make, but I’m glad to have not felt rushed today for the shave. Yesterday was a decent mostly-BBS shave, felt good, though it didn’t last super long, a product of a non-full prep day and the camera no doubt. Today is a 99% BBS, only a couple stray stubble hairs that got away, but are bearable.
The Feather put up fantastic reduction as usual and the GC continues to impress with a smooth knockout of everything left over.
The Brut AS is really shining too. To make it all I did is cut in generic, genuine witch hazel and some extra, slightly mentholated isopropyl. For any of you that haven’t tried genuine witch hazel yet, get some, mix it up with an AS or frag you find to be too strong, and it works wonders for irritation and post shave feel!
In other things, today’s work shift will mark my mid-week. VBS is still going strong at the church, though the volunteers are feeling the “almost done” drag. Tomorrow will be the finale. After that, my crew and I get everything back in top order and ready for services! Friday and Saturday will be quite busy with the prep work!
The missus also is preparing for her annual trip to Mary Kay headquarters in TX. Usually the kids go visit the grandparents while I stay back and work, bacheloring it for the better part of a week. I know she looks forward to the festivities, but it’s a hard week for me knowing I won’t sleep well and it’ll be too quiet. She deserves it though!
