Lol! That’s a definite “Nope”!

Shave #131:

Gear: Feather AC SS, Pro blade (7), RR GC, Astra SP blade (3), RR Big Bruce, TOBS Sandalwood, and of course cut Pinaud Clubman decant for this fine Friday (my Thursday)!

Happy to report a thoroughly good shave today!

It honestly didn’t feel like there was a lot to do for 3 passes, the RR GC does a stellar last pass. I may do just a Feather shave tomorrow to have some growth for a nice Sunday shave. Not that my Feather shaves aren’t good, they are usually very nice, but the long lasting closeness hasn’t reached the same level as my DE shaves just yet.

Still working down the TOBS, edging ever closer each shave to an empty tub. It could well be another month though before it’s gone, maybe...

Today’s the day my crew and I begin getting things back to normal at the church. VBS will have just wrapped up as I come on shift. Should be a mostly eventful evening!

Hope Friday treats you all well!

Getting caught up, Chris. Some nice mail calls! And all you guys making videos these days. Maybe I'll learn how to post one some day.

Most excellent shaves Chris. The SS is a really nice shaver for sure. Reading your journal today and I came to a realization if I ever forget who’s journal I’m reading if I just call them Dave or Chris I have about a 90% chance at a 50/50 shot of being correct.

Some great shaves and set ups, Chris. I haven't watched the video yet, but will add that one to the long list of member videos I need to sit down and binge watch sometime soon lol.

Thanks TJ! Yes, it’s quite funny how many Daves and Chris’ have congregated here. I think the Daves are winning at the moment though...any interest in becoming a CJ? ?

Thanks Eric! Some of these guys are pure comedy! Well worth the sit down just to glean some shaving knowledge as well. ?

Open blade shave #132:

Gear: Feather AC SS, Pro blade (8), RR Big Bruce, TOBS Sandalwood, and RR The Stallion of close.

Good, simple shave today. I only took the Feather in with me. Seems I lost a little bit of the edge I had previously on my angles. Thats OK for me though, because now I know what’s possible and that I can accomplish it! This Pro blade does seem to have lost its smooth edge a bit more quickly than the last. It still does a great job reducing WTG and XTG though, and that’s mostly all I need for the time being! Massages in a good dose of The Stallion AS, got a little bit of sting, but I’m refreshed for the day, if a little body-tired.

Overall a semi close shave, ranging from BBS to CCS. It’ll be fun mowing everything down with a nice, smooth GC shave tomorrow!

Today is my Friday, yaaaasssss!

Man, yesterday was killer! A solid 8 hours of frantic work to reset the campus to some semblance of normalcy. I know I shouldn’t have, but I even had to work through my breaks, in hopes of avoiding staying late. It worked! I only went a few minutes over and everything got done. I kicked booty!

One memorial event to attend to today, then prepping for services tomorrow...almost there.

The family is looking forward to the post church neighborhood swim and BBQ tomorrow that the church puts on annually for all their neighbors. Should be a fun time!

Enjoy your Saturday folks!

Shave #133:

Gear: Feather AC SS, Pro blade (9), RR GC, Astra SP blade (4), RR Big Bruce, Catie’s Bubbles: Un Jour Gris, and Fine Platinum to finish.

Boy am I beat this morning! I knew I had to get up early for church, so last night I laid everything out for this morning. I debated bringing in the Feather AC, just because I knew I’d need a good, mostly mindless shave. I did it anyway though, just for the first pass.

I chose Catie’s Un Jour Gris today, just because the smell has kind of grown on me a bit. It’s a very hard soap, but the scent is fresh with a touch of grey. The first time I used it the lather didn’t come out super good, but today it came out great! I bloomed it lightly and loaded as heavily as I could for about 30 seconds. Given the hardness of the soap, I still had barely enough for my 3 passes and lather soak. This soap is hard! The lather was good in most catergories though. The place it excelled most was likely slickness. The place it was probably lacking some was cushion/protectiveness; it felt thick, but for some reason I did not feel the cushion when the blades were actually on my skin. Still a good soap however.

So first pass with the Feather went off just fine. Maybe a tad bit less reduction on the chin than normal...I’ll chalk that up to my mental/physical state today.

The XTG and ATG passes were done with the RR GC. It’s not exactly a mindless shave, you do have to pay a little attention or you will likely not get good results. It is an almost effortless shave though as long as you are paying attention to your angle. Easy 100% BBS with only a couple spots of touch up.

Church this morning, water the garden, BBQ late afternoon, and chill evening. Have a great Sunday all!

Awesome Sunday shave, Chris!

Our church starts pretty early, too, which I why I chose Sundays for my day off of open blades. Church is almost always enjoyable, but this morning's service was particularly nice. A couple of young girls very bravely stood up at the podium and sang a beautiful song, accompanied by a young teenage girl on the piano. Such pure voices!

Have a good day.

Thank Randall, too as well!
