Corona Virus Official Day 123:

Slept in like there was no tomorrow. Guess the body just needs to to that once in a while. Musta been too much sun.

Nice breakfast with the missus this morning. Nice shower n shave when I finally got around to it. Finally remembered to pull out some Avon. Chose Tai Winds first since it is probably the freshest of what I have. Just perfect.

Taking it easy today. Yesterday was rough.

I did get back word from MS early yesterday while I was at work. Sadly it’s still a no go, as much as I feel the pastor was in my corner, the elders were still hesitant about dragging a CA family all the way out there. I think there’s quite a few more underlying issues that were plainly stated, but I’ll leave it there. They’re still lovely people, they made their decision. It’s hard to be so convinced of something and to not have it confirmed. I think the missus took it even harder than I did. So, I have to find the next thing that will move me forward in ministry.

Meeting with my young mentoree soon.

A call is coming. With Pastoring being almost as celebrated as being a Police Officer, there are fewer stepping up into the role. The stress of the pandemic and juggling between a public and private life I feel puts Clergy on the front lines along with Police, Doctors, Nurses, Fire Fighters, and any other first response trade. You see it all. And not always the nice stuff.
I have great faith in you and believe you will be led to a flock that needs your unique skills and abilities. This I know.

Corona Virus Official Day 124:

So nice to not have to wake up to an alarm clock. Would have been even more nice if I hadn’t woken up so much.

Had my much needed shave this morning though, once I was up and about. Made the last second call to drop the Avon and sub in the Czech & Speake instead. Nice shave overall, definitely BBS, just a little bit of irritation on the corners of the mouth. The mustache area is always just so tempting to push since I’ve got a lot of stubborn stubble there. No real harm done though between my homemade witch hazel and Lucky Tiger.

Off to see what adventures today holds!
