If you have to do something...

Shave #110 (401 Open Blade Shaves) of 2020:

Gear: Feather AC SS folding, Feather Pro blade, RR .68 GC, Gillette Platinum blade, Sorrentino TSC 1st Anniversary badger brush, CBL Grassroots Lavender soap, generic witch hazel, Thayer’s Medicated, and ADP Colonia Intensia to finish!

Corona Virus Official Day 35:

Not much sleep was had. The missus was hyper aware over the pooch and keeping her still and comfortable, so we were in and out of sleep most of the night.

Woke up for breakfast and home-service...and coffeeeeeeeee...

After a nice shower, decided to give the Feather a go. It’s been at least 3 months since I met my 400 open blade shave goal and I hadn’t touched an open blade since. 2 passes with that, only one nick on the corner of the mouth, gentle cleanup with the GC, and all was good. I find Grassroots Lavender whips up best with a synth for me, today was the 2nd or 3rd time I’ve tried with the badger and it just comes out too thin after lathering up for a pass, so I keep having to reload. Today after coming out I got a near immediate “mmm you smell nice today” from the missus, pretty sure it’s the ADP! Don’t know if this one is still a clone oil or not, it was in an atomizer...but it’s clearly a winner! Same happened yesterday with the 70th/Guerlain combo.

Hoping today is a lot less eventful and stressful. Even though we were looking forward to the uses the extra cash flow from government kick-backs would have afforded, and this may sound weird but, the strange events of the year so far could really not have happened at a “better” time. There’s noway we could have taken care of all the unfortunate incidents we’ve had to recently in a “normal” state of things. Just a strange reflection.

Have a blessed Sunday all!

Shave #111 (402 Open Blade Shaves) of 2020:

Gear: Feather AC SS folding, Feather Pro blade, RR GV .68, Gillette Platinum blade, TSC 2nd Anniversary synth brush, Sudsy Soapery Citrus & Bay soap, generic witch hazel, Thayer’s Medicated, Bootlegger’s Bay Rum, and Avon Prime to finish!

Corona Virus Official Day 36:

Shave #112 (403 Open Blade Shaves) of 2020:

Gear: Feather AC SS folding, Feather Pro blade, Schick M Adjustable, Schick Twin blade, Yaqi SF synth brush, CBL Money tonsorial soap, generic witch hazel, Thayer’s Medicated, and Royall Vetiver to finish!

Corona Virus Official Day 37:

Up a bit early again.

A decent chunk of today will be listening to training videos and calling folks on behalf of the church for check ups.

Nice shower n shave. Changed up my normal Tuesday “fresh” shave to Royall Vetiver from Chris for the finish. Really nice, crisp, almost limey Vetiver...very strongupon application, but I feel like it died down pretty quickly to a skin scent which kinda sucks since it’s so nice. Granted this is marked “lotion” and not EDT. Decided not to follow it up with anything. The Feather passes were very nice today, felt pretty natural.

The wiener dog, Nohea, is doing good. She’s so wiggly that we have to plaster her gauze to her body with bandaids to keep it from shifting under her shirt. She’s mentally back to normal though. It’s funny to watch her try and jog around the back yard, fighting with the cone that wants to dig into the grass every time she wants to sniff. We also have a glee prescription to pick up for her and the other dog, so hopefully that helps her comfort too. It’s crazy how quickly the flea egg situation gets out of control! We went from nothing to needing to vacuum her usual rest spots daily within a day. We also have yard/home cleaners on the way to help with that. So gross.

Have a great Tuesday all!

Maybe wrapping the pooch in gauze would hold the dressing in place?

Nice to have work to keep you out of trouble for the day ;)

We’ve tried that, but because of the extreme curve of her chest cavity and her wiggles, the whole thing still works it’s way off in less than an hour. The bandages seem to at least mostly keep it in place for a good chunk of the day.

Uh...games do the same thing and they’re more funnerer! 🤷‍♂️

Shave #113 (404 Open Blade Shaves) of 2020:

Gear: Feather AC SS folding, Feather Pro blade, Schick M Adjustable, Schick Twin blade, Sorrentino TSC 1st Anniversary badger brush, CBL SIR Fougere tonsorial soap, generic witch hazel, Thayer’s Medicated, Pitralon Classic AS, and Annie Oakley Stampede frag to finish!

Corona Virus Official Day 38:

Yep, it’s Wednesday.

Great shave, no battle damage. Decided to give Stampede a try. Seemed like a “western-ish” scent...slightly floral, leathery, dusty...not bad. Occasionally it smells quite a bit like a slightly more sophisticated, slightly darker Pinaud Clubman.

More custodial training and congregational calls today. Small group Zoom calls later.

Temps here in CA are supposed to slowly elevate over the next week into the 80s, topping out at a day or two in the low 90s...ugh.

Really been enjoying the evenings watching Parks n Rec with the missus. Just starting season 5 later tonight! Pretty much on par with the American version of The Office in every way and different enough to not feel like a copy.

Have a great Wednesday all!
