If you have to do something...

I genuinely forgot what today was until I read your last entry. :ROFLMAO: Sounds like you've had a rough couple of weeks. I know you're tired, but keep up the good work. And drink some dang water!

Shave #74 (400 Open Blade Shaves) of 2020:

Gear: Blackland Vector, Feather Pro blade, Stirling 2-band synth brush, Stirling Agar soap, generic witch hazel, Thayer’s Medicated, Lucky Tiger AS, and Guerlain Homme L’Eau to finish!

Up early today, for an early shift, still have the “closing” shift, it’s just adjust for the lack of activities today.

Braved using the Vector in my groggy state. Did great surprisingly, only decapitated a couple follicles on the ATG. Was going to hit myself with some ADP Colonia Intensia which @GlazedBoker kindly sent along with a sample of TF Ombré Leather, but it appears what was in there evaporated en route. Totally A OK though! I hit myself with the last of Guerlain Homme L’Eau and all was well.

Off to it...the grand exciting adventure of sanitization!

Have a great Saturday all!

You probably mentioned it before and I overlooked it, or forgot or something. What are your thoughts on Stirling Agar?

It was pretty “interesting” when I first received it. Now I actually like it a lot. It goes well with many woody/spicy colognes and it helps that Stirling has a pretty good base too!

Shave #75 (400 Open Blade Shaves) of 2020:

Gear: Blackland Vector, Feather Pro blade, Yaqi Rainbow w/ brown synth brush, CBL Cherry Blossom & Bamboo soap, generic witch hazel, Thayer’s Medicated, Lucky Tiger AS, and TF Ombré Leather to finish!

A bit of an early wake up for us. Headed out to a 9 am service...in a friends house. 2000 years later and here we are, back to the way it all started!

First a shower n shave though! All cleaned up from my day of disinfecting yesterday! Shave was excellent. Really focusing on trying to not clean up too much, especially with the Vector.

Wrapped things up with the TF Ombré Leather sample that @GlazedBoker sent along...yeehaw and holy cow chips! This is definitely a way different opening than Tuscan Leather and is, in my opinion, much better. It has a very rich depth at the moment - dark, worn leather and a robust, slightly burnt, dark tobacco is what I get right now. It’s glorious! Much less harsh than Tuscan’s acrid sharp peppery/spice note. Thanks much Gus!

As I mentioned, we’re headed out to a friends house, who also happens to be a church elder currently. Since church services are closed due to health recommendations, a number of the elders and others are opening homes to very small groups of folks by invitation - simple worship, a sermon our head pastor recorded, and some fellowship over breakfast. Maybe this Corona virus thingy will be positive in this regard. This is part of what attracted people to and grew the early Church at the beginning - intentional relationships and spiritual enrichment in a personal setting.

Have a blessed Sunday all!

Corona Virus Official Day 2:

Groggy wake up. Got the kids settled on some brief learning tasks then went in to clean myself up. Normal Tuesday fresh combo that I really enjoy. Then it was a scone and cup o joe for breakfast.

The missus passed along the news that some work changes are coming along (we work at the same church). With the heavy restrictions on group and travel coming through, the church is rightfully following suit. For now, things will continue normally (as far as work for me) through the end of the month...after that we’ll see.

Have a great Tuesday all!
