If you have to do something...

Shave #37 (400 Open Blade Shaves) of 2020:

Gear: Gillette Pre-war Tech, Feather blade, Yaqi SF synth brush, CBL Money tonsorial soap, generic witch hazel, Thayer’s Medicated, Pinaud Citrus Musk, and Paco Rabanne 1 Million to finish!

Up a bit early for a shower n shave. When with my “modern” classic clean combo. Threw in the 1 Million just to use up more of the juice and it’s moderately fresh, of a tinge fruity.

Almost started out the morning in “disaster” when I found the laptop had been off, unplugged, and drained of battery all night. Normally I shoot off my teaching and handout for the Bible study class the morning of the study to the missus, as I’m getting ready, so it doesn’t get lost in a pile of office emails if sent too early. It literally took about 30 minutes to send the email this morning (between charging it enough to get it turned on and waiting for the old slow laptop to finish rebooting up). Panic! Thankfully it all worked just in time to make it a few minutes early to the class.

Work later. Just giving the brains a rest a couple days before starting study for the next teaching.

Have a great Thursday all!

Chris loses his religion worrying about religion
It’s good to have a healthy fear when it comes to teaching hearts! I am a terrible on-the-spot speaker!

“Whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him if a great millstone were hung around his neck and he were thrown into the sea.”

Shave #38 (400 Open Blade Shaves) of 2020:

Gear: Gillette Pre-war Tech, Feather blade, Yaqi SF synth brush, CBL Roasted Oatmeal Stout soap, generic witch hazel, Thayer’s Medicated, Ogalalla Bay Rum & Sandalwood AS, and Stirling Glastonbury EDT to finish!

Tired this morning, shaved helped, but tired.

Knew it felt like a ROS day, decided last minute to try a Ogalalla/Glastonbury followup was combo...not bad! Feather/Tech combo going strong.

Two shifts left to wrap up the work week. Saturday is going to be busy. Thankfully it seems as if plans are finally set for the week I’ll be gone. It’ll still be sketchy as to everything will be done well, but at least it’ll get done.

Should probably see if I can start my Habakkuk 2 teaching tomorrow to hopefully get it done a bit earlier or at least not need to cram so much study and synthesizing into a shorter time frame. Studying the prophets can be enlightening, but when teaching it, it takes some effort to not sound too repetitious when a number of similar themes are running through multiple books.

Have a great Friday all! You made it through!

I taught through the minor prophets over several months. I was in a depression by the end of it.

But there’s always such hope in them! It can be a slog to get there though, yea. 😕
I spent 2 years doing a survey through the whole bible. Tried to summarize a book a week. The cool thing is Gospels are like a huge breath of fresh air after the minor prophets!
