If you have to do something...

Shave #43 (400 Open Blade Shaves) of 2020:

Gear: Gillette Pre-war Tech, Feather blade, Stirling 2-band synth brush, Stirling Christmas Eve soap, generic witch hazel, Thayer’s Medicated, and Avon Deep Woods to finish!

Boop boop, dad bus duties this morning!

Up early for the normal Wednesday morning school track qualifying lap. Came back for a very refreshing shave. Frag is undecided as of yet. May do a spritz of C&S Frankincense & Myrrh before heading back out the door to...

Date morning! Not sure what’s on the menu, but as long as there’s some sugared up coffee, I’m game!

I’ve been plugging away on my teaching for tomorrow morning every free chance I have...and I’m pretty much done! Just some formatting to fix up to help me during presentation...definitely prepping the print email early this time!

Work later should be cake...well pizza at least, since it’s Wednesday night small group programs.

Have a great Wednesday all!

Mmmm, I've been eyeing the Christmas Eve. I'm also dying for some strong smoky scent, but that will wait for the weekend.
From what I’ve experienced so far it’s a good mix of Christmas tree, incense, and barbershop powder. A good once-in-a-while soap.

Shave #44 (400 Open Blade Shaves) of 2020:

Gear: Gillette Pre-war Tech, Feather blade, RR Big Bruce synth brush, CBL Balsamic Oud soap, generic witch hazel, Thayer’s Medicated, Skin Bracer, and Guerlain Vetiver to finish!

Was a nice day when I woke up...then I went into the bathroom and saw the quadruple snail’s pace drain clog in the shower. Tried to snake it but just could get anything, didn’t have enough time to continue pursuit of the criminal clog before it was time to head to teach. Between the wash machine and this, I decided to go ahead and put the call in to the professional. Appointment scheduled for tomorrow morning 🤷‍♂️

Got my shave in at least. Tech/Feather combo still chugging along.

Teaching went well I think...at least, everyone knew I was coming back for a second week in a row and showed up today anyway!

Have a great Thursday all!

Bleach, I don't know what made me decide to try it. But there was a very unpleasant clogged toilet I needed to deal with at one time. I poured a good 1/3 of a bottle in there and came back in a few hours to everyhting having resolved itself and all sparkly clean.
I had a similar situation in our shower a few months ago. Baking soda, vinegar, and boiling water did the trick. No issues since.
Thanks for the tips guys! It’s honestly so hard to glean information off the internet for trade work like this. There’s always someone on both sides either saying this totally works or that’s dumb, it doesn’t work at all. The most solid answer I got was to stop using drain-o though. Universally regarded as bad.

I hadn’t heard of using bleach before. But there was a lot of mixed thoughts from “pros” about the baking soda/vinegar approach. Baking soda takes some hunting to find locally, so I didn’t bother. Next time perhaps!

Oh.......all I've been using is draino. Back to the drawing board! Keep at it with the teaching, it takes a little time to get in a groove.
Thanks Ben!

Yes, drain-o...the consensus is that it appeases the consumer masses in the short term for how quickly and efficiently it works; in the long run there's a lot of ways to improperly use it and do more damage than a quick fix line cleaner is worth.
