Shave #18 (400 Open Blade Shaves) of 2020:

Gear: Blackland Vector, Feather Pro blade, RR Big Bruce synth brush, JoHS Turkish Bath soap, generic witch hazel, Thayerā€™s Medicated, and Avon Oland AS to finish!

Nice relaxing morning. Got to sleep in some along with everyone else, so feeling decently rested and not quite as cruddy.

Showered n shaved for the day. Headed out to work in a bit. Tried the Avon Oland today. It goes on with a scent pretty reminiscent of Pinaud Special Reserve, but dries down much more quickly and isnā€™t as in-your-face with scent power. Not bad! I have to mention that, with a decent application, as I work through the day I get little whiffs here n there of the Avons, particularly the darker ones like Spicy. They do refresh briefly when I get home and wash my face. Heck, I could even smell Spicy faintly as I stepped into the shower this morning, before it disappeared completely.

Totally ready to get my 3 day weekend on! One more shift to get through.

Kidsā€™ grandma is coming up with a few of their cousins to take everyone out to see Doolittle today. After chores of course! Should be fun for them!

Have a great Saturday all!

Shave #19 (400 Open Blade Shaves) of 2020:

Gear: Blackland Vector, Feather Pro blade, Yaqi Rainbow w/ brown synth brush, CBL Cherry Blossom & Bamboo soap, generic witch hazel, Thayerā€™s Medicated, Lucky Tiger AS, and Paco Rabanne 1 Million to finish!

The missus and I stayed up late last night trying to power through The Office...had to stop with one episode left for the series. A little groggy this morning but it was worth it!

Nice shower n shave to wake me up. Hardware/software was top shelf and Iā€™ve got zero complaints. This last week+ of Vector shaves has been amazing!

Paco Rabanne 1 Million is not what I expected. Randomly got a sample spray from Macyā€™s in the mail. Its kinda fruity, a little fresh, kinda unisex, and a bit gaudy. I made the mistake of reading through some comments on Fragrantica beforehand...someone said itā€™s ā€œbasic b*ā€ male and party boy...I must agree. Its at least not exuding ā€œgentlemanlyā€. Itā€™s shameful when a clone of your fragrance smells better...but I have to say, I like the clone better.

Last night my clean up crew kicked booty. It was a tough push, but we cleaned up after the games and got stuff ready ten minutes to spare.

Not a whole lot in the docket today except services and a few chores. Thank goodness.

Have a blessed Sunday all!

Shave #20 (400 Open Blade Shaves) of 2020:

Gear: Blackland Vector, Feather Pro blade, RR Big Bruce synth brush, CBL Balsamic Oud tonsorial soap, generic witch hazel, Thayerā€™s Medicated, and Avon Tai Winds AS to finish!

Up a bit early on the holiday day, hoping to get this flickering light issue fixed once and for all!

Sorry folks, no shave video today. Iā€™ll do one tomorrow instead. I did use the full sized Tai Winds. I felt like it started out a bit Paul Sebastian-y which surprised me, itā€™s moving past that though. Itā€™s very cologne-like as it dries down right now. I have to say, though I enjoyed the sampler wipes a looooong time ago from KJ @Spider, it definitely helped with getting the individual scent notes more clearly, but the full sized bottles have been a totally different experience. Itā€™s been nice. Thanks again @Dave in KY!

Finished the night out last night with The Office finale. Iā€™d highly recommend the binge watch, itā€™s just been a fantastic series, Iā€™m sad I missed it the first time around. It captures and caricatures all the odd, quirky, sometimes inappropriate, insane, likeable, dumb, brilliant portraits of humanity and a fast-fading way of life revealed in American white collar work culture.

I also beat the missus in a late game of Bananagrams and havenā€™t been forgiven yet. :ROFLMAO:

Have a great Monday all!

Well...
Good report: changing out the light fixtures from the cheap bulbless LEDs seems to have fixed the problem for the time being. Ultimately we still have active knob n tube to take care of at some point though.
Bad report: first drain snaking helped a bit but going to have to try a few more times a different day. This automatic snake is cool, the battery doesnā€™t last long though...

Off to a chaplaincy call now, then having my boss over for dinner in a few hours.

Definitely!
And when you win, you canā€™t say ā€œIn your face!ā€

A friend told me that.
Your ā€œfriendā€ is wise;)
