Shave #12 (399 Open Blade Shaves) of 2020:

Gear: 🤫

Up a bit early to get to services. The missus has some responsibilities to attend to.

As usual, I’m the first one up Sunday morning. Getting in that start of the day refresher and shave. Decided to go with the AOS Bourbon/ADG Absolu Instinct combo...good decision.

A couple chores to bust out this evening, some family time, and a teaching to get the jump on for Thursday (Nahum 2).

Have a blessed Sunday all!

Shave #13 (Open Blade Shaves) of 2020:

Gear: Feather AC SS folding, Feather Pro blade, Blackland Vector, Feather Pro blade, Yaqi SF synth brush, CBL Barbershop soap, generic witch hazel, Thayer’s Medicated, Skin Bracer AS, and Guerlain Vetiver to finish!

Stay tuned after the shave...for doggies!

GREAT video Chris !! Loved meeting the dogs. Thanks for the shout out and being a believer in me. BIG CONGRATS on hitting 400 open blade shaves and getting a POLISHED Vector. Many jam packed video!!
Thanks for watching Dave and for the congratulations...and for being thoroughly enabling! :ROFLMAO:

Shave #14 (400 Open Blade Shaves) of 2020:

Gear: Blackland Vector, Feather Pro blade, RR Big Bruce synth brush, DG After the Rain soap, generic witch hazel, Thayer’s Medicated, and Barbasol PR AS to finish!

First full shave with the Vector. Smoooooth as buttah!

Shave is pretty darn good with this thing. A little more blade feel ATG than I remember the General v1 having, but that’s really the only time you feel the blade at all, perhaps maybe a tad during a stroke around an extreme angle like the chin too, otherwise it’s almost as smooth as my GC .68! Going to need to disassemble it soon to check how it’s holding up with my normal rinse off and alcohol dip. The care instructions say to let it dry disassembled after each shave...we’ll see.

Back to the work grind today. Gonna be a busy week of late nights. Still trying to fend off the crud meanwhile.

Have a friend coming today to check all our outlets and swap some out to see if that helps with some flickering light issues we’ve been having in some rooms. Hoping it does, don’t feel like going through the process or expense of having the house rewired!

About half way through my teaching...in fact I should just go ahead and get back to that now! :ROFLMAO:

Have a great Tuesday all!

DOGGIES!!! They sure look hydrated! Good stuff, Chris. I continue to fight off the urge to get a Vector, but I sense I'm starting to lose that fight.
Upping your game with the doggies! Nice work!
Thanks guys! We love our doggies!

Ben, I get that! I decided I wanted a razor I could be happy with of each major type (except GEM type perhaps)...the GC, Feather SS, Schick M, and now Vector seem to accomplish that for me. Really, I could have been just as happy with the GC alone.

I feel that, dude. I feel like I'm at a crossroads with razors and might do what you did. My 6S really does it for me, but I know there's more out there. *Sigh* the science continues!

We have the flickering lights, but with in-ceiling can lights (which I HATE) and only in the evening. I assume it has to do with increased load on the entire system and power distribution, but would concede to @uacowboy's knowledge of that.

You're a young buck yet. When I was of that ilk and felt a cold coming on, I'd hit the gym even harder to get my body temp up to kill it dead in its tracks. I say you hoop it up while you're on the clock this week!
