Fluffy's Curmudgeon Corner

Thanks guys. I'm quite chuffed that I won. The price wound up to be really fair. Two other people bid on it. And they must have been bigger cheap skates than me. So now the Royal will have some competition for being the best fresh face in the paddock. Of course you will all get to follow along.
Tonight's shave. Very good one. The Fili 14 fresh off a touch up on the Arkie. Last shave was not up to snuff. A tad tuggy. Have been leaning more towards the edges I have been getting off of the Translucent lately. I think they exfoliate my skin less than a Shogun edge. The 1508.5 is cruising along. I am now half way through the tub. Not sure how many more shaves I'll get out of it. I'm guessing around August. I'll be ordering my Nuavia Rossa. Getting used to the "classic" Old Spice. It's ok but seems watered down. And less longevity. May try mixing cologne in. To get it where I think it used to/should be. Hate when they change a iconic product. If I took over Ferrari and started only offering cars that were painted blue, green and pink. And had four cylinder engines.
I would need a good damn security detail to travel around Italy.

Have a good Wednesday guys.
Fluffy

Been lots of good posts recently. Makes the day more enjoyable for sure.
Got my winning bid paid. And also did a BIN for a bottle of Avon Oland AS. So two things will be eventually heading to Maryland for me to enjoy. How you all are having a good day.
@BarberDave many folks have come to the same realization. Arkie hones Surgical Black and Translucent have great potential. I’m glad I listened to them and got one. It’s been fun experimenting with it. Now have a pretty good routine yielding consistent edges that work for me. And the others I have honed for seem to like.

Tonight's shave was very nice. The suds were courtesy of @Patelliott Stirling Sharp Dressed Man. Nice scent in a known very good base. The Royal was back in action. The resulting ZERO irritation smooth SOP two pass shave. Is just the sort of thing that satisfies me way too much. Less than $20 dollar razor with gifted soap providing such goodness. Life is good.
The Cashmere brush is becoming my favorite. Which is surprising to me. My previous mind was that a brush had to have some backbone and "scritch" to be effective.
AS well just talk to the hand. Thought the Skin Bracer scent paired ok with this soap.
Hope you guys had a good day. Bring on Friday.

That soap was a blind buy for me. I saw it was cloned after Creed's Green Irish Tweed and the Irish in me added it to the cart. Glad you enjoyed it!

Happy Friday guys.
Please allow me to show off my most excellent shave setup for this evening.
Another irritation free signature two pass shave for me. After watching @NurseDave and @BarberDave ’s videos. I may have to add a new dimension to my shave routine. Stay tuned. I also had some tunes pop into my mind. But they may be a bit controversial to post up here. A punk rock band from Philly The Dead Milkmen. Irrelevant and non pc lyrics.
Take it easy, Fluffy.

Remember to make the correct faces while applying the talc!
The devil is in the details. You need to work on the "brush tap" when loading the talc. I am taking notes. And will endeavor incorporate the proper techniques. Always better to get it right from the start. Than to have to un-learn bad habits.
