Fluffy's Curmudgeon Corner

Had to get back to my beloved 14's For this shave. CBL Insurgent Tonsorial provided it's usual great qualities. And the classic scent of AV capped off the shave.
I spent a little time getting Zoom set up on the laptop. I'm ready for tomorrow evening. Looking forward to virtually hanging out.47A075AB-5356-4CB2-9C88-BFF9D59CCC48.jpeg

The Tabac man is totally different scent from the original. They have two other new scents Crafstman and Fire. Want to try them too.
The Man is lighter maybe citrus type scent.

All Caught up Ken Nice reads and nice razors, Hope we did not scare you off last night LOL. thanks for being there!

Tonight's shave was inspired @BarberDave . His very nice clutch of Swedish steel I cannot match. But the one razor I do have that is from such steel was worked on the other side of the globe.
By what could have only been very skilled masters. My first NOS as well as first Japanese razor. The Gold Rex , made C9D950DC-9EBC-42DB-A77C-D38EEBA9895F.jpegwith ASSAB Swedish Steel.
And no barberdave. I would not be scared off by such a good group of guys and two gals. Or the one guy with the pseudo goatee.

Gold Rex 1072 Razor (with Shogun Edge)
Oleo Seibo Dominican Chocolate Soap
AP Cashmere Brush
Tabac

LOL thanks! and Steel need to acquire a japanese razor. This year I think

Once upon a time, I bid on a bay auction for 6 razors and won. There was a Fili, a Gold Rex, another big name Japanese razor and a few others. The pics looked great and I couldn’t wait to get them. When the arrived, I discovered they were made for the Japanese market. They were tiny, 3/8 and 4/8” blades and tiny scales. WTH?! I honed them up and gave them a try. They just felt way too small. I sold some and PIFed the others.

But seeing your Japanese razors put me back on the hunt for one last razor. I have a Hayashi Diamond headed my way. I hope that ruler in the pics was ASE and not metric.
