Fluffy's Curmudgeon Corner

Two loaves are for my use during the week. One loaf for my son in law and his wife. And I usually give away a loaf or two to people I deem worthy of such a thoughtful unique gift.
And I generally make sandwiches with some sort of roast beast. As the hearty nature of the sourdough and meat go so well together.

The muffins turned out ok. The recipe gave me the option either using vegetable oil or butter. My choice was for butter. I’m not sure but I think that may have been the less ideal option. The “wet” and dry ingredients. Need to be thoroughly mixed separately before being combined.
I melted the butter but when added to the milk and eggs. It (butter) became solid again. And I am not sure it mixed well. And the texture of the muffins is a bit off. Next batch I shall use the vegetable oil.

Clauss Razor
Fluffy Industries Copper Edition Brush
DG Trismegistus Soap
Tabac Man AS

Round two with the Clauss Razor vs. translucent Arkansas hone. This outing was a much better affair. The razor did much better this go round.
I put it at 90% of its full potential. Most folks would say it’s good enough. But not old Fluffy. That ten percent is the difference between a good shave and a great shave. And my buddy Tim deserves great shaves.

Sunday’s Shave

The deets.
Clauss Razor
B&M Nordost Soap
Yaqui Badger Brush
Master Barber Topaz Aftershave

I can now report that the Clauss razor is at the level of sharpness that I am happy with.
So it will be cleaned up and headed back home to Tim fairly soon.
It’s always enjoyable to take a razor from unusable. To the best I can make it be.
Hope you are all ready for the week.

The mill sits right at the edge of the Susquehanna River. With what used to be the canal between it and the river.
The closest bridge is I-95 Tydings bridge. The next down stream is a railroad bridge. The third is Rt. 40 Pulaski Hwy. The River view is looking down the boat launch. The town of Havre De Grace is on the other side of the bridges. The structures you see on the right shore below the bridges is a large stone quarry that carves into the side of the river bank to get at the granite. Barges with hundreds of thousands of tons of rocks and gravel are floated down into the mouth of the Chesapeake Bay every year.
