FarmerTan is lost. Big surprise.

Well of course it's my fault! :ROFLMAO:

How's the cholesterol?
I went on a drug for it. I won't name it for fear the "Powers that Be" would think I'm looking for a Sponsor of the Drivel I Post once I become famous.
I only agreed to it because supposedly it water soluble, meaning less chance of the muscle pain associated with hyperlipidemia drugs.
I had lots of pain from it at first. A guy on another shaving forum (I'll give you one guess where) said he'd been on it and it took awhile, but his pain problem went away, almost instantly.

As God is my Witness, I had almost decided to go off it, when 9 months after I started it, my pain stopped. Oh, my cervical pain I was born with, lol, but I'm serious, the major muscle pain SHUT OFF like a switch was thrown.

As to my numbers: I have a brain like Swiss cheese, but if I recall, it went from a total cholesterol of 305ish to 248? in a monthish. I don't feel any better, but I look at this as an opportunity to see a grandkid kinda thing, just in case Steve Wariner was lying in that song about there being holes in the floor of heaven, ha.

Did you think you were going to get a short answer? I had TWO sips of coffee my friend!

Can I post cool pictures of home remodeling stuff that NEVER ends in an old house, or other stuff I take cell phone pics of here in my "Dairy?"

No, I never was a Diary Farmer, but I have milked.

It was a mouse! True story doggone!

My only problem was I kept fallin' off that dad-burned tiny stool!

Nice first post! Welcome to your diary!
And I will welcome you to my Dairy if'n I ever start that Mouse Milking Company I've been dreaming about. There's a good chance that @TobyC will werk for me, if I can get all the permits. And a certain cartoon character drops his lawsuit against me. He objects to me using his girlfriend's picture on my logo! If he ain't careful I'll never visit another of his theme parks, I tell ya!

That's still high man, you need to work on that.

And;
"The actual risk of developing muscle pain as a result of taking statins is about 5 percent or less compared with taking a pill that doesn't contain medication (placebo). However, studies have found that nearly 30 percent of people stopped taking the pills because of muscle aches even when they were taking a placebo."

Heaven is full of people that went back for seconds and desert my friend.

I am not kidding: my nephew the pharmacist told my mom to go off them years ago because of the pain. We still can't get rid of her, the heart of an 18 year old her doc said, and cholesterol levels high. Skinny lady. There is a skool of thought that our cholesterol gets higher as we age to reduce inflamed joints, if you believe we are designed beings.

I like to hedge my bets, so I take the pill and eat what I want. Kinda like a marathon runner that smokes!

Not a half bad start to what I’m sure will be an epic ...log.

SERIOUS QUESTION ALERT....

If I ever decide to really write a book, (which honestly, don't you think I owe it to humankind?) is the wisdom I put on here my own intellectual property (I heard that snicker, @MilkCrate ) ? I mean, does the Cadre have to give me permission to publish this garbage I spew?

I ain't never published anything so this really is a serious question. I've been thinking about my memoirs for my son. I'm not in great health, and I'm thinking of amending my living trust so that his inheritance would be contingent on him reading my book, and getting 100% on a test before he gets anything.
I won’t claim to answer “the owners” (@The Shaving Cadre Owners does that) but if you read the TOU, hold them to a candle at midnight under a full Tabacaveg moon, you’ll see the language is more about the FORUM having rights to all your $ when you DO write the book...wait, that part got cut by the legal department. Basically, Mr. FarmerTan...if they are YOUR words about your story they are your’s to publish in a book. The forum (like any/all Internet forums, blogs and repositories of drivel) claims the rights to what is said, posted or “publish” within its walls...meaning, you can’t go write a book, get famous then tell the forum to delete your prior written words from its history. Like life, The TSC forum’s future is yet to be written ...but it’s history is written and saved for posterity.

As someone who has told many a great story in my web journal only to have my access to that forum blocked, I would encourage you to find time and a way to copy or print some of your better written tales so they are easily located when you DO sit down to recap your life’s journey’s in written form. The forum platform itself is not designed to make it easy for anyone, even a friendly forum owner, to download or export the contents of a thread (like your diary) but you might be able to highlight and copy things you write.

My mom was a nurse for many, many years. She saw and did SO many things. At one point, when I was in Jr. High I think, she was approached by a couple other nurses who were putting together a collection of stories to be published. Back then getting published was still very hard and required skill just to find a publisher let alone write. She did end up contributing several stories to that collaboration but I know she could have written volumes on her own...and that would have just covered the parts of her career prior to her becoming the school district nurse after teaching a brief “sexual transmitted diseases” class to one of my senior classes. It was SO incredibly funny and graphic the teachers were fainting but the kids (my friends) NEVER forgot her. She was hired by the outgoing school nurse and worked as the school nurse for 20 more years under the condition she never show that material again.

I had high cholesterol that the dr finally decided tee should do something about, it was the good/bad ratio more than the total she was concerned with a d she suggested exercise as the best solution...I started a statin the following week and stayed sedentary (just to see if she was right). The numbers came down but the ratio stayed bad. I was in terrible pain a d even had kidney issues developing but it took me 3-4 months to connect the dots. I switched to taking the statin every other day and even rotating off of it for a week here and there. I felt better and at my 9 month mark my numbers were fantastic. The dr approved of my routine and I’m fine. My dads dr on the other hand told him to take co-q10 to ease the pain associated with his cholesterol med. Unfilled, I still find I get terrible pains in my back and hips if I take that particular statin more frequently than EOD and now even question if I can do it that often. Good numbers, but I hurt like I’m working out and walking miles at a time.

Priceless! I live my life wide open; I figure God sees me and STILL loves me, so what do I care what others think. I just didn't want people suing me for telling MY stories just because I post it somewhere.

Them dang HIPPA laws might ruin my book. But I plan on it being fiction, since folks won't believe half of it. Shoot, I don't, and I lived it!

Yeah, I take mine EOD. And I feel good.

I’m sure some form of law that eventually evolved into the current HIPPA laws existed when my mom wrote her stories but “the names were changed to protect the innocent” and truth being stranger than fiction nobody will ever know if what you write is or isn’t a scent from a late night movie they just haven’t seen yet. I ended up working in the same hospital that was the last one my mom worked at so I knew some of the “ghost stories” and many of the same nurses and doctors still worked there. I did and saw things I will never forget and probably never share, but I promise you, when you are in the basement where they currently store files and you tell the file clerk (who doesn’t know the alphabet so they have a big board with letters on it nailed to the wall for his reference) that where he is standing used to be the hospital morgue...HR doesn’t enjoy having to hire ANOTHER file clerk because the old one won’t work alone in the file room anymore.

Hey! As I lately have been too lazy to shave, it should follow that I'd be too lazy to journal.

I have shaved twice I believe since I last posted, in the shower.

I have been having incredibly smooth, lasting shaves by doing this: using Brut bath soap lathered in my hands, and applying some old Aloe Barbasol canned foam over it.

I have not had a lot of excess energy as of late, and shower shaving has just been easier.

Best wishes to all of you poor souls who actually read my drivel, and I will try to be more exciting in my next entry.

And I promise to not let the truth or facts or anything else get in the way of entertaining y'all.

Dear Diary,

How are you? I am fine. Other than the fact that I said some really nasty stuff to my sister because of politics on FakeBook. What should I do after I have apologized and she has forgiven me?

Sincerely yours, the Tanned Farmer
Dear Tanned Farmer,

Immediately delete FakeBook from your phone you idiot!

Amazed at your inability to turn the other cheek, Your Diary
