Everyone Loves Sumo!!!

The custom is alive and well.
LOL, I noticed that as well. I'm also happy to see that as the COVID restrictions are lifting that the crowd responses and cheers are returning. I started watching SUMO mid-COVID and the matches were very quiet. It's nice to hear the matches getting louder.

So I was beginning to think that the custom of throwing your cushions if a Yokozuna loses has ended. Just watched Terunofuji lose to Meisei. The custom is alive and well. I know I haven’t entered any picks but my gut is telling me Terunofuji is going to take the whole Basho
It was great to see the zabuton's fly! Congrats to Meisei!!!

How are you, Adam? Feeling better?
Welp,
Yesterday I had to have kind of like an epidural. The doc told me that once I could feel my legs again, when the pain comes back it’s gonna come back with a bang. He was not wrong.
He also stated that the steroids he put in my spinal canal are gonna have me wired for sound. Sleep was gonna be a challenge. Dead on the money with that as well. I am to recline and relax today and tomorrow

Praying that your recovery continues unabated and that it gets easier from here!

According to Tachia

"The NSK has also confirmed that the other three Sekiwake will be on Ozeki runs in July. Going by the guideline of 33 wins over 3 basho, S2e Daieisho (10-5) will need 11 wins, while S2w Wakamotoharu (10-5) and S1w Hoshoryu (11-4) will need 12 apiece."

WOOT Shi Shi joins Juryo! He's gonna be fun to watch and will give the token white guy, Aioyama some company!

That's going to be a bit confusing, changing his name so late in the game, since he's already well known with a big following.
Apparently its more common then we realize. Terunofuji went by a different name also at one point.
