I think Chad is correct with a gentle nudge by the powers that be. As he had mentioned in a very obscure way that he personally felt a wider global audience would be good.

Yes and no. Yes, because it is all the bigger picture of sumo and knowing who is coming up is important. But I found myself not having enough time to watch both and the last half of the tournament, I barely watched either because of it. And as the contest data-miner, it was twice as much work.
Yea it's a good point. I think I won't split Juryo as much.
Tonight I am checking out Sanctuary, the Netflix Sumo themed series. I’ve heard good reviews

Did you watch it? I binged it over the past two days. If you can get past a little bit of silly Japanese acting, and some so-so English dubbing, it's quite good. I really enjoyed it. I hope it gets renewed for a second season.
