Good shave today. Missing my straights, but I just have not had the time for a straight shave and I have also been trying out a few razors and soaps. Today I wanted a fresh cooling soap and tried out my new DOC razor from PAA. Fresh Lime hadn’t been used in a while so it got the nod. The DOC is a fantastic razor. I may not need a NEW SC now.
I mentioned a while back that I was having issues with my Stirling Badger not releasing lather very well. Well I gelled the tips using the video @bentheduck posted a while back and it worked very well. It isn’t releasing lather like some of my other badgers, but it is way more useable.
Thanks for reading Cadre and I hope y’all had a great Tuesday!

Brush: WCS Honeycomb Badger
Bowl: CC Copper Bowl
Soap: Stirling- Intrepid Man sample

Aftershave: Stirling- Intrepid Man splash sample
Moisturizer: Hyaluronic Acid Serum

Much needed straight razor shave today. I got a sample of Intrepid Man from Stirling because it sounded like a really nice soap. From one use it reminds me a lot of Hipster. A little stronger and a little sharper, but very similar scent. Once I finish Hipster I’ll probably replace it with this scent.

Thanks for reading Cadre, I hope y’all had a great Wednesday!

I bought a tuck of these blades so that I could get free shipping from WCS. I have been curious about them for a while. Just one shave in and I really like them. They seem as smooth or even smoother than a Voskhod, but wow they are pretty great to use! Lonestar has not been used in a while and I want to use my favorite summer soaps before I put them up for the year. Great lather and an excellent shave!
I also bought a pick of Haslinger so that I can combine it with my MWF. Grated them up and put them back in my MWF jar. I think I may try that out tomorrow or Saturday!
Have a good one Cadre!

The 7 O'clock black is the Super Platinum I believe...right? These are one of (if not the) my favorites blades right now. A very comfortable blade that is sharp and smooth. Pretty cheap too. Good shave today!

Nice shave! But ... 1:45am? Yuck.
I have to work nights this week, but my shave actually took place at about 9:00 pm

Yes those are them! Awesome blades!

It’s has only been one shave Ken so I need a little more time! Overall (factoring in price) Vokshods are more practical.
