A few things to talk about in today’s shave.
First, the brush. I wanted to use it with some of my favorite soap bases to see how it would do. I can confidently say that this outperforms every other brush in my den. For a while I was thinking that there was no real NEED for anything other than a good boar brush, but this brush proved me wrong. It creates a lather very similar to a boar, but dispersed the lather much better. There is some scritch, which I like, but much softer than a boar. It splays very nicely and has gelled very quickly! Definitely my new favorite brush.
Now the razor. This is the second days that I have used this razor and I am sold. This is part of a pass around on another site, and this may be the last modern razor I want. This razor is adjustable and the first day I put it on 3.5 out of 7. It felt very mild, which for me is saying something, but it took down a lot on the first pass. Today I put it on 5 and it was even better. A little more blade feel, but this razor is very very smooth! I’ll have it a few more days so I’ll play around with it a bit more, but I am pretty much sold already!
Thanks for reading Cadre, have a great Sunday!

Well I recorded a video and managed to ramble on for 35 minutes. Don’t ask me how, but I got off topic a few different times. So I will try again tomorrow and see if I can stay on topic and get the video under 20 minutes. This soap is AMAZING. The scent is very clean similar to Proraso Green, but a little cleaner to my nose. I think it will pair wonderfully with any of the classic drugstore aftershaves and Proraso Green, but Aqua Velva may be the best. Brut had not been used in a while so it got the nod, but it is a little too powdery for this soap. Still nice though. This soap base is my absolute favorite of the three that Chris has. I made enough lather for two shaves and still had about 1/3 of the soap I scooped out left in my bowl. Cushion is fantastic, slickness is awesome, but where I am really surprised is post-shave feel. The Tonsorial and Premium bases both have a nice post-shave feel, but I think this one is noticeably better. My skin feels soft and well hydrated. Great job @CBLindsay and I cannot wait to see what other scents you come out with next. Now obviously I did not just get one of his soaps because you just can’t do that, but I will use another one I ordered for tomorrow’s shave and hopefully it will be recorded!
Have a great Monday Cadre!

But we thrive on off topic and unscripted
Idk about 35 minutes though. I wouldn’t even want to look at those analytics.

You should have posted that extended version video, you might have beaten @GearNoir.

But if you do a 3 part mini series, I’m out.
I figured I would just do a video about the razor, brush, and soap tomorrow. Should be able to keep it to 15 minutes. If I have more to talk about then I’ll do another video Wednesday!

First I've heard of that razor. Enjoy your shaves, Pat!
Thank you Bruce! I’ll talk more about it tomorrow, but it is supposed to be their version of the Gibbs adjustable razor.

Pat, I use that in the past around as well and loved it and would have gotten one but they're all sold out. They'll finally have another batch sometime in the next couple to few months but look for them to sell out almost immediately unfortunately.
That is what I am afraid of. We’ll see. If I happene to stumble upon a Gibbs adjustable for a cheaper price then I’ll go with it, but those are hard to come by at a reasonable price.
