Down in the Heart of Texas!

Luckily she said she doesn't want any of my favorite soaps (darker scents) although she did say she would like to try my ETHOS Succès soap. Idk if I am willing to share my ETHOS soaps. She did say she liked the one I used tonight and my Lavender scented soaps. We'll see though!

That’s what they want ya think. Then you find your soaps shuffled around.

Nice relaxing shave today and the whiskers were no match for the Filli. This thing went through the whiskers like a hot knife through butter!
Oleo's soap is a very nice preforming soap. Nice cushion, slickness, and the scent is at a great strength!
A little irritation on the mustache area, but other than that I am BBS and smelling great!

Thanks for reading Cadre, and I hope y'all had a great Monday!

Today's suds and splash are brought to you by Mr. @elmerPHuD. He sent Tombstone and Dapper Doc. I opted for Tombstone today and Dapper Doc for tomorrow. Tombstone smells like straight up gun powder and I love it. There is a hint of leather that makes the gunpowder more evident. There is a hint of florals that you especially get in the aftershave and that helps make this scent more wearable. Just a really nice scent and it is definitely on my list to replace a soap. The performance of PAA CK-6 is awesome. It is a very thick lather, but can take on water and things out nicely once on the face and you apply water. It is a very slick soap both in shave and residual. To me it is a little drying in the post-shave and that is the only reason I consider it tier 1 and not elite. I think the CK-6 base is better than a lot of tallow bases out there and this is a purely vegan soap! Thank you again Todd for sending these samples! I can't wait to try Dapper Doc tomorrow.
The SLOC 2.0 is the first razor that I can confidently say I hate. This is the second time I have used it and I just absolutely hate it. The teeth feel very rough on the face and I do not feel like I get a good shave at all. Right now I have to say today's shave was a SSS. This razor is going on the trading block or PIF, but I cannot use it anymore.

Thanks for reading Cadre, and I hope yall had a good Tuesday!

Bummer about the razor. I’m sure it’ll find a good home somewhere. Chad loves his!
I noticed that people either love it or hate it. Oh well if I get no bites on a trade I will PIF it, but I will describe my experience with it that way no one feels cheated or mislead.

I hate those kinda shaves. Do over tomorrow.
Yes sir, and I know tomorrow's shave with the Ralf Aust will be much better!

I wasn't able to use this soap yesterday during my shave because I could not remember where I had put it. So it got the nod today and boy what a scent it is. I won't go into the base too much because I have talked about how much I enjoy PAA's CK-6 base. The scent on the other hand is incredible. This is the scent I was looking for when I was looking for a floral scent and settled on Noble Otter Two Kings. Dapper Doc is not too heavy and although smells very floral, it also has a sweetness to it. I feel like Two Kings is so heavy that it would be bet worn in the Fall or Winter, but Dapper Doc is really perfect for Spring and Summer. I am not close to finishing Two Kings, but I may have to get Dapper Doc anyway in time for Spring next year. Thank you so much @elmerPHuD for sending me a sample of the soap and splash! This is a fantastic scent and I am happy that I was able to try it!
The shave went much better than Monday's shave. Yesterday definitely needed a SR, but today the Fatboy took care of the stubble like it was nothing. It is crazy how when I first got it I thought setting 5 was on the more aggressive side, but now setting 7 is perfect. I really like the GSB combination in this razor, but I think when I am done with this blade I may try the Wizamet blade in it!

Thanks for reading Cadre, and I hope y'all had a great Thursday!
