The Karve razor is a nice piece of hardware

Today's lather was great. The CBL is rapidly disappearing, but the WCS Silvertip did good work. My neck had a little more irritation than usual.

Gear
The Karve razor is a nice heavy razor. I like the solid brass construction. I will need to try out more of the plates. The C wasn't bad, but perhaps there is one that is better for me.

Other Thoughts
It was a nice Saturday.

Thank you for reading and commenting on my journal. I hope you have a great day and stellar shaves, Cadre.

Nice shave Doug. A "B" plate would be easy enough to get from a BST probably. Sorry if the plates aren't working for you. You may after dialing in like the "C" though

Part of the issue is the weight of the razor. It is quite hefty. Today's shave with the C plate was better. I may just need to dial it in a bit.

Very nice Doug! How many shaves do you think you have left with the CBL?
2-4. I am down to the final crescent of soap.

Another great shave with the Karve, WCS SilverTip, and CBL CSC. The lather was great. The C plate was less irritating. It was a great shave overall.

Gear
The Karve is going to take some getting used to. The weight is different than I am used to. Also, the bare brass has a different level of friction on my face. I am getting good shaves from it. It may just take some time to start getting amazing shaves from it. I can see why this is such a popular item. It is a high quality product.

Other Thoughts
We are supposed to be getting snow today. It is in the 30's, but it is sunny and clear out. We shall see if the snow comes or not.

Thank you for reading and commenting on my journal. I hope you have a great day and stellar shaves, Cadre.

All caught up and congrats on the job change! Sounds like it is going to hopefully be a great move.

A new to me blade in my TV Special.

The Flare Tip punished my face a bit today with the Crown SS blade, but I am seriously BBS right now. I think the Crown blade could be a good blade for me. The lather was per usual for CBL. The WCS badger brush makes an more airy lather than my other brushes. Perhaps that is partially due to being at the bottom of this tub. I will have to give the brush some more break-in time. It does feel rather good on my face, however.

Gear
My Flare Tip Super Speeds take real work and focus for me to not get a rough shave. There are many razors that I have which shave better, but I love the look and feel in my hand of these vintage beauties.

The Crown Super Stainless is definitely worth trying again. It seems to be a nice blade.

Other Thoughts
I am definitely feeling valued today.

Great read and shave. Those brushes at WCS like the one you got are very cool looking. Did I miss it somewhere? What color did you choose?

Those WCS brushes are usually reasonably priced too. I’ve thought about grabbing one a few times but never pulled the trigger.

You are are always valued here Doug!
