Overview
I am all leathery and woody today...

Shave Quality
Two passes. Soft, smooth skin afterwards. Very little alum sting. BBS-.

I made the lather a bit wetter today and it paid off at the expense of a few dollops getting flung across the sink and counter. It was slick and rich and just a bit more elite than Tabac and CFG for me.

Gear
The fact that CBL soap is a labor of love shows in all aspects of the soap. It is some of the best stuff that I have ever shaved with. The SOS is easily a 4 or 5, so be warned if you prefer light scents. I don't know how long this tub will take to die, but it will be an excellent set of shaves.

These Croma Diamant blades are definitely bulk buy worthy.

Other Thoughts
I am thankful and glad that I have the things in my life that I do. This is the season for thankful thoughts, after all.

Thank you for reading and commenting on my journal. I hope you have a great day and stellar shaves, Cadre.

A fabulous Friday shave.

Shave Quality
There was some alum feedback today, but not more than I often get. The two passes went well. I tried to push the water envelope a bit and got yet another stellar lather from a 20-30 second load. My Sorrentino brush really works well with this soap. The slickness and cushion were great allowing the Treet blade to do its work efficiently. I am Full-On BBS and feeling good.

The Gillette Ranger Tech/Milord is an interesting razor. It is a great shaver, but it doesn't fit every modern blade that I own. Today I used the Treet Black, which worked. Pictured is a Voskhod, which does not fit in the razor. When the blade works it is a great shaving experience. This is also one of the more rare razors that I own. It is really good stuff.

Other Thoughts
Happy Friday. I am taking all of next week off. This should be a good week.

Thank you for reading and commenting on my journal. I hope you have a great day and stellar shaves, Cadre.

That's weird. It looks like it should fit. Are the cutouts just not designed with enough slop?

I love that razor. A Ranger Tech is on my list to get at some point. I have always heard great things about the way it shaves!

Overview
A busy weekend leads to a busy Monday and a lazy Tuesday.

Shave Quality
The shaves shaves listed above were absolutely stellar. Monday's shave was a HCBBS in two passes. The Treet Black blade works well with the vintage Gillettes.

Gear
The CBL soap is really the best soap that I have used so far since starting into this hobby back in 2016. It is the absolute cream of the crop. There are lots o
f soaps that I haven't tried yet, like DG and A&E. I also still need to dig into my WWSC soaps. However, I am going to use CBL as my basis for comparison. It has the best post-shave of any soap that I have used so far. My face was faceturbatingly soft and smooth all day Monday.

The Treet Black blades are choosy about which razor they want to work in, but it seems like they really prefer vintage DEs.

Other Thoughts
It has been a good vacation week so far. Life is good right now for reasons.

Thank you for reading and commenting on my journal. I hope you have a great day and stellar shaves, Cadre.

Is it just me, or am I really turning into a CBL soap fanboy?

But, can you blame me? The stuff is just off the charts good.

Great catch up post Doug. Hope you have a great thanksgiving, and I think we are all big time fans of CBL.
