Shave Quality
My face was quite tender right after the shave, but it calmed down after about an hour or two. The results are somewhere between DFS and BBS. I am not quite completely smooth. The lather was, naturally, really great. The JaysClays bowl did a good job with it. Good results overall

Gear
The SV brush seems to be a better face lathering brush than bowl lathering brush. I need to try it with my Fine lather bowl.

The Dossier clone of Bleu de Chanel is nice. I don't know how close of a clone it is, but I am enjoying it.

Other Thoughts
Need to get more sleep.

Thank you for reading and commenting on my journal. I hope you have a great day and stellar shaves, Cadre.

Shave Quality
Another great shave. Today I was a little lighter with the razor and my face felt better afterwards. The results were DFS+/BBS- in two passes. The lather was excellent. It was a good shave to end the work week.

Gear
The SV limited edition brush is just a bit too large for the JaysClays bowl. I need to pull out the Parker from the @jbreakfield or one of my 24mm synthetics. I think the lather, while really good, could be better with a narrower brush in this bowl. Oh, and I still love the color.

Today's Dossier clone is better than yesterday's. The one yesterday had longevity problems on my skin. Today's, a clone of TF Oud Wood, lasted several hours on my skin. I reapplied a couple of sprays because I wanted to experience the opening and mid again. Really good stuff.

Other Thoughts
We picked out the quartz color for our new countertops today. This is about to start getting real.

Considering how draconian the moderators were over there, that doesn't surprise me.
But are they stiff shirts, or did they have corn cobs in uncomfortable places? ;)

Well...I can tell you first hand about the mods over there (since I was one for a while. Some good guys really. Except for one. And for some reason that one guy drove what the whole of the mods were supposed to be like. At the time I really thought that most of the "rules" were pretty reasonable. But there whole philosophy was very elitist. In the end...there were some things that I disagreed with on a level that really put a bad taste in my mouth.

I remember when they were talking about your Avatar @TobyC. I thought it was utterly ridiculous that someone complained about how "mean" it looked. People are so fragile these days. Anyway...it's a much happier place over on this side of the woods.

I remember looking at quartz for our countertops when the wife and I redid the house. I was really impressed with what they looked like and I was leaning towards it. But in the end we got some good prices on granite. I hope your countertops come out looking like you hope!

Cool!

Yep, thin skinned folks don't do well on the interwebs.

What's the story with nuclearblast, he seems to have just walked away?

 If my wife utilized the kitchen to it's full potential. Like yours does Doug. She could get any kind of countertop she wanted. As it is. She gets Formica. Plain plywood is too hard to keep sanitary.
Hope the project goes well. I used to like to doing kitchen and bath remodels when I did home improvement.. Very lucrative.

BBS in two passes. Today's shave was superb. Everything was great about it.

Gear
Ormonde Man is an amazingly good fragrance. I love it.

Other Thoughts
Down payment made. Countertops happening.

Excellent 'Jectah shave
I used everything but injectors till a couple of years ago. Once I finally did, I was hooked. My initial reluctance was the higher cost of blades, and having to go through the process of finding the right ones. My "frugality" prevented me from enjoying the best shaves I've ever had, since injectors inevitably led me to the Vector.

Shave Quality
Two passes of shaving goodness. I had to hurry a bit today. It would have been nice to have taken a bit more time. It was a good shave all in all, not quite BBS but good.

Gear
I love my synthetic brushes.

Ormonde Man is probably the the best perfume that I currently own.

Other Thoughts
Watching Lucifer on Netflix. It is an interesting series.

Shave Quality
Two passes with the Starling GEM-style razor. It ended up being mostly good. There is a bit of tenderness on my neck afterwards. This is the best GEM shave I have had in a while. It wasn't as good as most of the Injector shaves that I have had. The lather was decent. It was almost BBS.

Gear
Synthetics are awesome. Banana Republic Modern Man is kinda boring and generic, but high quality.

Other Thoughts
Monday. ... ... ... ... Meh.
