Overview
A good shave and some great smells

SOTD Pics

Shave Quality
The shave was good. I am still a little tender over my Adam's Apple. Call it DFS+ for the day. I can't complain about it. I got good results and didn't make anything worse.

Gear
Ormonde Man is killer juice. I am going to be buying a full bottle of it. It is old-school gentlemanly with a unique twist. I can't stop smelling my shirt.

The rest of the gear was good.

Other Thoughts
Had some ups and downs today, but everything turned out good.

Thank you for reading and commenting on my journal. I hope you have a great day and stellar shaves, Cadre.

Everything was great today. The shave went well and was kind of boring. A smooth face was had by me.

Gear
All good.

Other Thoughts
The house really needs cleaning. Ugh.

looks as if the irritation thing might have been the pre-shave, hopefully Felce can be back for you

Overview
Skin tags suck.

SOTD Pics
None

Shave Quality
It would have been a bloodless shave, except I think I hit two skin tags that were starting to appear on my neck. My neck was stretched and the nicks hit in the middle of the cutting surface. They were small nicks, so not a huge deal. I am BBS otherwise.

Gear
The Piccolo (my 2 are both Mk2) is a great little razor. It is a very smooth shaver and one that I recommend to anyone who likes OC DEs.

The ASCO Orange blade is performing well. It seems to be much the same as other Platinum blades that I have used.

The RazoRock soap continues to perform very well. It lathers easily and is really slick.

Other Thoughts
Trying to get repair people to come out in the Covid-19 era is challenging.

Wow, my neck hates me today

SOTD Pics

Shave Quality
I guess even vintage Personna blades don't work well for me on the first shave. Today's blade really roughed my neck up. My face is a tiny bit tender also. I was hoping that the older blade would be a bit better. This was not the case. Maybe other vintage blades will be better. I also hope the second shave will be better than the first. If not for the irritation it would have been DFS+.

Gear
I really like the ADG Profumo. It is a very pleasant scent.

Other Thoughts
I wish the USPS were more predictable right now.

Techs really work well on my face. Today's shave was great. My neck is still a bit of a disaster area after yesterday, but it feels better today. BBS today and feeling pretty good.

Gear
The Tech is just a fabulous piece of hardware. It is definitely becoming a favorite.

Other Thoughts
It has been a good weekend so far.

Shave Quality
Another shave, another Tech. I am smooth, soft, and BBS- after two passes. The lather was great. The irritation was non-existent today. Such a good shave.

Gear
I could seriously get rid of all my other razors and just keep a selection of Techs. They are that good on my face. I am not going to do that, because there are several other DEs that I love however. My Merkurs are almost on the same level with my Techs.

Other Thoughts
Sometimes technology gets in the way of productivity.

Smelling good on a Tuesday

SOTD Pics

Shave Quality
Okay, I really like the oval slotted Techs. The triangle slotted Techs seem to be a bit too rough for my face these days. Are my face and neck getting more sensitive? The Pre-War Tech has never been a favorite of mine regardless. The shave is BBS- but there is a bit of irritation that seems to be going away. The lather from the RazoRock Acqua is still great, and I still love the clean, soapy scent of it. It was a decent shave overall.

Gear
The soap is still great. I can see the bottom of the tub starting to show through in the middle of the puck. It isn't exposed, but it is getting close. I am not sure how much longer this one is going to last. The AS splash is more than half gone.

The 2nd Anniversary Brush has enough backbone, due to the knot being set a little low, that it loads a little heavier by default than many of my brushes. I got a good, thick load off the puck today with very minimal load time. Hopefully this brush will put a good dent into the soap puck.

The Lord Platinum is great in most razors, but I think it is a little better in milder razors. However, considering the issues that I have had lately with irritation, perhaps that is the case for most blades with me.

JPG Le Male is a classic, even if it isn't as loud of a fragrance as it was when first released. I think that I smell good today.

Other Thoughts
It is a real possibility that my job may become permanently work from home. It really depends on how these Covid resurgences go. We are still scheduled to go back to the office in August. However, I wonder if that will happen, or if my company will put it off longer, or just change course and make us all permanently remote. I am used to it at this point, but I do miss the office setting.

Thank you for reading and commenting on my journal. I hope you have a great day and stellar shaves, Cadre.

It’s great that your company is at least willing to explore those possibilities rather than demanding everyone drag themselves back in. I can see where the home office work might become tedious though.
