So, I have a habit of buying before I try. Considering all the ways available to try out things for little cost, I should probably get out of this habit. It often works out fine, however. And it did so in this case. The shave was BBS in two with low irritation face feels all around. The only bad spot was a small roughed up spot over my Adam's Apple. But, even that spot wasn't bad. Today's shave was really, really good.
Gear
Still loving the 41c. Merkur Open Combs are fabulous shavers.
I am going to be sticking with the AV Ice Blue for a while. You just can't go wrong with it.
The Lord Platinum Class... It has a white package with red lettering. It goes for $7 and change on Amazon for a 100 pack. It is not quite as good as an Astra SP in my mind, but it is close. In the 41c it gave a great shave. I would say that I am pleased with the purchase after one shave.
Other Thoughts
Some days I feel like I am really bad at ... everything.

Shave Quality
This is a heavy razor which requires some care, even at the lowest setting. I should have used a slightly lighter hand with it today. The shave is full-on, almost glass smooth, BBS. However, there is some irritation remaining that is slowly fading. Everything else was as it should be. Not my best shave this week, but certainly my closest.
Gear
The Weishi Nostalgic Adjustable is heavy, so it definitely needs a light touch. The black coating on the razor does introduce some drag, so make sure you have a really good lather to compensate. Even at setting 1 this razor has a decent amount of blade feel due to the blade being almost completely flat, so watch your angle. I think this is a good razor. It feels solid and well made. It gives an excellent shave. It just needs some extra TLC.
Day 2 with the Lord Platinum and I really can't complain. It is a solid blade that gives me a good shave.
Other Thoughts
Looking forward to some Zoom Antics with Barber Dave and his sidekick, the Peanut Butter Kid, as well as the rest of the Peanut Gallery.
I have also been going through my collection of vintage straights. I am getting them ready to go to the stones. A couple of them needed a bit of work to get them to a shaveable condition. I had to remove a frown from a nice little W&B Extra Hollow and remove a chip from the middle of a Hess Hair Milk. I am very happy with the outcome on both of them, especially the Hess.

Today's shave was a repeat of yesterday's shave. In some ways it was better, in some it was worse. I gave it a lighter touch but still came away a little roughed up. It was BBS again which is nice and the irritation is fading with time. This razor is kind of a beast even on a really stellar lather.
Gear
The razor is going to take some getting used to. I think tomorrow I will use it with a different blade. The Lord Platinum is good, but I think I need to try it with an Astra SP or a Gillette Platinum.
The soap is starting to get translucent through the bottom of the tub. It seems to be disappearing fast. I wish this maker were still around because I would love to buy more of this stuff. It is definitely an elite tier soap.
Other Thoughts
Looks like I am going to be working from home until August now. It could be a long summer. We'll see how it goes.
