Shave Quality
Saturday I slept in way late, so didn't shave.
Sunday I got a surprisingly good glass smooth and low irritation BBS. A light touch with the Personna Injector blade worked well.
Today I am glass smooth again, but there is some razor burn remaining. It was a really good shave overall.

Gear
The Personna Injector blade worked well. I think the Chinese made Schick Injectors are smoother, but with the right level of pressure these will do in a pinch.

The Prismatic is an efficient shaver. Either I need a lighter touch or my face has stopped liking these Crown SS blades. Time will tell.

Last night I smooshed the remaining LEA soap down into the bottom of the bowl, spreading it out. There was enough to cover the bottom completely in a mostly even layer. I feel like I can probably measure the remaining lifespan of this puck in days rather than weeks, but we will see. It is still a top notch performer.

Other Thoughts
The weekend was relaxing. I just wish that I had been able to sleep last night.

Thank you for reading and commenting on my journal. I hope you have a great day and stellar shaves, Cadre.

Shave Quality
Tuesday's shave was decent, but I used too much pressure. The shave left me with some lasting razor burn. The results were okay, but it was definitely not my best effort.

Today's shave was really good. I remembered to use a light touch and came away BBS- with only a touch of irritation on my neck.

Gear
The redistributed LEA puck is getting more and more translucent. I can see the color of the wood bowl more and more through larger portions of the soap. However, this one is going to last longer than I expected. These milled soap pucks just keep going kinda like the Energizer Bunny.

Other Thoughts
Things seem to be settling down a bit at work. (Fingers crossed!) The situation is not what I want it to be. We'll see how it pans out in the long run.

Thank you for reading and commenting on my journal. I hope you have a great day and stellar shaves, Cadre.

I applaud you sir.
Thank you.

I really enjoy choosing a soap and working it until it is gone. There is something very satisfying about learning a product through repeated use and seeing how different hardware combinations work with it.

For example, the TSC 2nd Anniversary Brush has the knot set fairly low. Using it requires some extra time in lather building with the LEA soap. Otherwise I get a very airy lather with it.

Also, I have so much product that my current storage devices are overflowing. I literally have tubs stacked up on the floor. I could buy storage for under the bed, but I am using this as a driver to use up some of the stuff that I have been hoarding. Regardless of that, 3017ing is fun.

The metric system has been the source of much debate. But the “metric butt load”version was the easiest one for me to convert to. Just the other night organizing my reloading bench I told the wife. “ I forgot I had a metric butt ton of 9mm Luger brass”

I am probably undercounting by a bit.
For example, I have 6 untouched tubs of Stirling in the den. There are 3 more, that I can recall off hand, that have been used several times each.
I think I have 5 pucks of CBL Tonsorial that are new and I have lost count of the tubs of CBL Premium.
There are at least 3 tubs of RazoRock soap.
Two partial pucks of Tabac and a partially used Tabac stick.
An unused puck of Pre de Provence.
A partially used puck of AOS lemon soap (new formula)
An unused tub of Proraso Red.

That is 20 right there (not counting the CBL Premium) and that isn't even half of it.

There are 3? maybe 4? tubs of Stubble Buster.
I have a well used tub of GSB.

The list goes on...

Oh, I forgot the 12-13 pucks of Love My Skin soap from Ebay!

EDIT: I have also neglected to mention the tubes and tubs of Creams...

I think someone needs to explain the space/time continuum to Doug and maybe conservation of energy. Concentrating your use on one soap does not reduce the overall soap burden any faster than spreading the use around a variety of soaps.

But focused use makes for better shaves and also more noticeable progress towards the goal.

There is also a space savings due to removal of the empty soap tubs from the storage locations.
I need to reduce the physical presence of the stash more than the overall weight. All the tubs and pucks take up too much space overall.
