A little better, but still rough

SOTD Pic

Shave Quality
I think my face is still a little roughed up from yesterday. The shave was smooth and the results are BBS, but I definitely felt it on my neck where the irritation continues.

Gear
Super Speeds are actually really good.

Other Thoughts
Work from Home Week 2 is off to a slow start.

Thank you for reading and commenting on my journal. I hope you have a great day and stellar shaves, Cadre.

When I have a rough shave...it takes me a couple of days or a day off to get the skin back to where it was.

Happy Tuesday

SOTD Pic

Shave Quality
The shave was great today. BBS and low irritation. There would have been none, if not for my face still recovering from the Rocnel Model P on Sunday. It was a good start to my Tuesday.

Gear
The Post-War (round slot) Tech is still my favorite vintage Gillette razor.

Other Thoughts
Went to the doctor today. She raved over my weight loss and the fact that my A1C is the best it has been since we started tracking it. Keto works. Keto makes me happy. Keto has helped me keep 50+ pounds off for a year now, and I keep losing weight. I feel like Keto is something that I can do forever. I love it and I feel great.

The SS really delivered today. BBS. Low irritation. Started the day feeling good with a smooth face.

Gear
Loving all my DEs lately.

Other Thoughts
Pay cuts across the board announced today for the whole company including the executives. This sucks. However, it is preferable to the alternative.

The Slim apparently doesn't like the Shark SS blade much. Today's shave was rougher than yesterday's. I still came away BBS, but there are a couple of spots of irritation.

Gear
Time for a different blade, I think.

Other Thoughts
I find out today how much my pay cut is going to be. I hope it is closer to 10% than 15%. But, I am glad to still have a job at a company that cares about its workers.

Colorado implemented a state-wide stay at home order. It began this morning and goes until April 11. We'll see how this goes.

Shave Quality
Smooth BBS shave today. A couple of small areas of irritation, but nothing too bad. Still really loving the performance of the LEA Classic.

Gear
Today's Slim shave was better than yesterday's Slim shave.

Other Thoughts
Started work on my first knitted sweater this week. I am making a cardigan. So far it is going well. But it will be a game of inches. Literally.

Shave Quality
It was a fabulous, glassy smooth shave with little irritation that left me feeling like a million bucks.

Gear
The AOS Dovo, which I got from the Mystery Pass Around box, is a great piece of steel.

Other Thoughts
Went out for a bit today. It totally wasn't worth it.

I was wondering who picked that one up. glad you like the edge. It shaved well for me but i just liked my vintage razors more for some reason.

Today's shave was stellar. A light touch and three passes got me to glass smooth again. Everything clicked.

Gear
The older Injectors are really aggressive. They need extra TLC if you don't want your face ripped up, but when you give it that extra TLC it really delivers.

Other Thoughts
The wife and I are going to start having game nights. This should be fun.

I love my Schick E - probably my favorite of the 3 or 4 types that I have. I first used a J and thought that it gave me a meh shave. But once I used the E, I understood what the fuss was about. I've also got a B and an M, but they don't get much use and will probably go on the BST sometime. The J is perfect for my gym bag, but it's not one that I use regularly.

A very Mild Monday...

SOTD Pic
None

Shave Quality
Even set at 5 this razor does not have much blade feel. This combined with some sloppy, wet lather made for a slick and low irritation BBS- shave.

Gear
The Rubin is a well made razor. I should pull it out more often.

It looks like I might break through the bottom of the LEA puck tomorrow or the next day. I think I can see wood starting to show through the soap in the center. Using the Marco Method to load from the puck has certainly been working well for making great lather. It is chewing through the puck, however.

Other Thoughts
My first sweater is going well. At the rate I am going it may take me until the end of April to get it done, but it should be well worth it.
