Overview
The good shaves continue, even with the canned goo.

SOTD Pic
None

Shave Quality
All of the above shaves were BBS in two passes. It had been a number of years since I last used canned goo. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't good. It certainly lacked the wonderful, meditative feels that I get from soap and brush. It was a dull shave. Had I not been in a hurry out the door it would not have happened.

Gear
At least the Barbasol smells good...

The Strike Gold is really going to go the distance. It still looks like I am at the half way point with the soap, even though I am probably beyond it. I really need to try the other scents that they have available.

Other Thoughts
I have too many hobbies, but I love them all.

... Oh, and more yarn for the yarn stash! Also, organization of said stash...

Thank you for reading and commenting on my journal. I hope you have a great day and stellar shaves, Cadre.

Overview
Angles are important.

Shave Quality
Two passes. BBS. No surprises here.

Gear
The Weishi 9306 is a good razor, it just requires the shallowest of angles. Ride that cap hard.

Orange. Sandalwood. Rose. Yay!

Other Thoughts
Having one of those days wherein I lack focus...

Shave Quality
Two passes. BBS. A tiny bit of roughness.

Gear
While KMF can be used brushless, I don't really recommend it if other options are available. With a brush it is awesome stuff.

Other Thoughts
Totally f***ing cool:

Overview
Noticed some variation in the razor

SOTD Pic

Shave Quality
It was another two pass, very low irritation, BBS shave with the Strike Gold Shave soap. I feel good and smell good after that shave.

Gear
I am not sure if it was how the blade sits in the razor, or if it is (more likely) the razor. This razor model is prone to mechanical issues due to being mass produced cheaply. I don't remember it having one side more aggressive than the other, but it was today. It wasn't a problem, it is just something to get used to. It still gives a really excellent shave.

Other Thoughts
Using double pointed knitting needles is a bit of a challenge.

It just keeps going, and going, and going...

Shave Quality
Over 50 shaves in and the Strike Gold is still going strong. I have a small spot where the bottom of the tub is peaking through, but there is still a ton of soap on the sides of the container. I have started scooping out a small portion each day, rather than my normal lather-on-puck routine. I think I am still at least a month away from finishing the soap. The shaves are still superlative. It is a great performer for me and now that I am over 50 shaves on it, I think I can safely call it a great value for money. Today was another BBS in two passes. The soap + Model-T made for a really great start to the morning.

Gear
It may be boring reading about my shaves at this point, but I am still in love with this soap. This product is definitely in the "desert island" category for me. I could be a happy shaver for the rest of my days if this were the only soap I could use.

Other Thoughts
Weight has been holding steady. I need to really get serious about Intermittant Fasting again (i.e. no more cream in my morning coffee) if I want to get lower. I will lose more. It is just a matter of time.

Thank you for reading and commenting on my journal. I hope you have a great day and stellar shaves, Cadre.

Doug brought out the Model T! Don’t see that mentioned much anywhere anymore!

Glad you’re staying positive about the diet! Maintaining is better than gaining!

Overview
Can you say IN-JECT-OR???

SOTD Pic
None

Shave Quality
The Schick Dial (M-Type - see this link: Schick Injector Razors) is a great shaver. Sunday's shave was really amazing. Today's shave with it was a little rough, but still two passes for full on BBS. Saturday's shave with the Genco Master Barber, that I purchased from @CBLindsay, really did wonderful things to my face. The good shaves just keep coming for this guy.

Gear
Genco straights are really top notch steel. I am very happy with the ones that I have.

The Schick adjustable Injector is great stuff.

The Silk Smoke knot in my TSC member brush makes great lather.

All my gear is making me really happy.

Other Thoughts
Work is good. I am making progress on my crochet projects. I am not making much progress on my knitting projects, however. Everything is going well right now. Happy days.

Overview
Boringly good again.

SOTD Pic

Shave Quality
Another verse of the same old song. A great two pass shave was had. Sometimes boring is good.

Gear
The PAA Cube pre-shave soap is really good stuff. It provides a really good base for an excellent shave. Next time I may get it without the menthol, however. I don't necessarily want a mentholated shave every day.

Other Thoughts
Had an 18 hour fast that ended at 10:00 this morning. Feeling really good. I am going to have a big salad for lunch with some nice cured sausage on the side. I am still loving the Keto life, even though I have been plateaued for a few weeks. If I get strict, which I am doing, that will change. I want to be somewhere between 230 and 235 for my upcoming physical.

Nice job on the fast! I’ve done fasts up to 30 hours in the past...once that first stretch of hunger pangs hits, it’s no joke!
