A little too wet today.

Shave Quality
Good shave. DFS+ in two passes. I got the lather too thin this time around. I just put too much water in. It was ultra slick, but had no cushion. Still, it was not too shabby of a shave.

Gear
All good.

Other Thoughts
Preparing to start a new D&D campaign in July. This one will be: Tomb of Annihilation | Dungeons & Dragons.

Thank you for reading and commenting on my journal. I hope you have a great day and stellar shaves, Cadre.

Doug good stuff. That is a very nice Afghan you made. I really like the color. I never got into the D&D but I have a few friends who have a great time. Perhaps one day I will take them up on the invite.

Shave Quality
The Strike Gold Shave soap and AS continue to deliver. Every shave with this soap is top notch. The Strike Gold AS plus the AV and LT Disappearing cream is keeping my face really, really happy post-shave.

Gear
Loving it.

Other Thoughts
Keto FTW! I am not losing weight fast, but it is coming off. My health is improving with it. I am currently down to about my college weight. I am eating well and loving every second of it.

Shave Quality
I could really get used to having shaves like this all the time. Two passes. BBS. I am a happy boy.

Gear
I am still in love with the scent of this soap. I am definitely going to restock the Old Hickory as well as trying the other scents in this shave line.

Other Thoughts
Bulletproof coffee. Yum!

Overview
I like firm soaps and I cannot lie...

Shave Quality
Used Marco's Method today to make my shaving lather and got a big pile of moist, slick, and protective suds. I had enough to go for at least four passes, but as usual I only did two. The Ming Shi 3000s with the Ming Shi Diamond SS blade made short work of my morning growth. I am full-on BBS and my face feels great. All shaves should be this good.

Gear
The Strike Gold is a firm artisan soap. I have made a dent in it, but it is hard to tell that I have been using it for three weeks straight. I am not sure how long this one is going to last, but it is going to be a long 3017. The soap isn't as hard as a tripple milled puck, but it is close; as close as artisan soaps get. It is possible that I may run out of the Strike Gold AS before the soap runs out. This stuff definitely has good bang-for-buck value. It really is shooting for top spot in my den.

Other Thoughts
My current employer has a company shutdown for the 4th of July week. So, I am just about to start a week of employer mandated vacation. This is the second company that I have worked for which has this sort of shutdown policy. I really like it. This is going to be a very nice week.

Thank you for reading and commenting on my journal. I hope you have a great day and stellar shaves, Cadre.

Good shave Doug!

Work shutdown sounds bad, you had me worried...but I’m glad it’s a good thing lol!

It is an annual thing. Every 4th of July week and the week between Christmas and New Year's are both shutdown weeks every year. All employees, unless they are necessary personnel or have special permission, must take the week off. It can be taken either as Paid Time Off or, at the employee's discretion, as Unpaid Time Off. It is so totally not a bad thing at all.

Pretty sweet deal!
