Overview
A decent Father's Day shave

SOTD Pic
None

Shave Quality
It was BBS in two passes, but wasn't long lasting. The lather was a bit strange. Perhaps there was too much water? The blade was a bit rough also. I didn't have lasting irritation, but the shave wasn't as smooth as I would have liked. Overall it was a good shave.

Gear
The S-Brush made a weird lather. I need to have another go with it.

Other Thoughts
I like making afghans.

Thank you for reading and commenting on my journal. I hope you have a great day and stellar shaves, Cadre.

Yeah that sounds like a little too much water to me. Or you could've sold yourself a little short when loading your brush. Maybe both?

Happy Tech Tuesday!

Shave Quality
The Pre-War Tech with a Parker blade was not too bad as a combination. It was a little rougher than I normally like, but that could be the triangle slots at work. I am a bigger fan of the Post-War Tech. Overall it was a really good two pass BBS.

Gear
Who doesn't like the Tech?

Other Thoughts
The problem with buying yarn is that there is always more yarn to buy. Also, it is easy to forget that you have bought something before.

Half blade shavettes do like to bite.

Shave Quality
I have had the Magic Razor sitting out waiting to be used for several days, loaded with a half Shark SS. Even though I had the Progress on deck for the shave, I decided to give this one a go. It is a shavette that I picked up back in 2017 at a Sally Beauty and had never used. The results were much as I expected. It bit me every chance it got. The second pass was with the Progress, so I ended up with a good shave. I still love the Strike Gold soap and AS.

Gear
I don't recommend the Magic Razor. It is an okay product, but not great.

Other Thoughts
My next afghan is under way. I now have three yarn projects to work on.

Good stuff Doug. Pretty cool that you make Afghans I have a few that are basically family heirlooms. I love em.

All good in my shaving hood...

Shave Quality
Another fabulous shave today. BBS, two passes, great lather. The combination of aftershaves has my skin feeling smooth and hydrated. I am not sure if I would call this a grail shave, but it is damn close.

Gear
The Commander-In-Chief soap base that Strike Gold is using really works for me. It is tallow with shea and kokum butters. It doesn't have lots of fancy ingredients, but it really delivers for me. You guys have got to give this a try.

Other Thoughts
Here is a pic of the afghan for my mom.

The colors in the pic came out weird. It is sage green.
