Yay, pulled a winner back out!

Hope you make some health progress soon too. Good job at least keeping yourself plateaued.

The lather was great, really slick and protective. The skin conditioning is good, but not excellent. I love the scent. It is a cologne-y sandalwood. Why did it make my face burn? I think I need a day or two off of shaving to let my face rest. Then I am going to give this one another try. I feel like this one shouldn't have irritated me at all, but the soap and AS both did. I really want this one to work, so I am going to have a no-shave Friday and we will see what Saturday holds. This is getting ridiculous with everything reacting on my face. I am also going to either change brushes, or shampoo the Anniversary brush to clear out any residue from other products. Ggrrrrrr.

Gear
The TOBS soap is really high quality stuff. I want to use more, if my face will stop reacting to it.

The stainless DOC Ascension really is one of the best DEs that I have ever used. I really love the PAA "The Bomb" handle that it has.

Other Thoughts
Against my better judgement I hopped on the scale this morning. 247.6. I am happy. This probably means that I need to continue tracking Keto macros, but if it works I am willing to do it. I hope I can keep the progress going.

Doug, when I had some irritation I noticed until the skin really cleared and healed nearly everything seemed to irritate when in reality it was probably a residual effect. Hope you get some relief.

I’ve only used TOBS cream, but, even though I finished it, I always felt it was highly synthetic. Toward the end I also felt some developing irritation with each shave. I’ve never repurchased, even though I liked the Sandalwood scent.

Have you tried the TOBS "Organic Shaving Cream"? It's advertised as, "preservative and fragrance free, suitable for sensitive skin". I haven't tried that one yet, but plan to do so. Over the past year or so, I've given TOBS another go and have become a fan of their shaving creams, especially the "Mr. Taylor's", and the "Grapefruit". Also, have you tried some of the unscented shaving soaps from Stirling, Wholly Kaw, Mike's, Declaration Grooming?

Unscented soaps and creams have been on my mind lately, but I have so much already that is scented. Also, many of them that I have used don't irritate my skin. We shall see what happens.

I think the soap (this is the triple milled puck) has a great scent. It didn't come off as synthetic to me, but every nose is different.

A good shave

I was a little rough on myself with the razor today. I went a little too fast and wasn't careful enough of my angle. The good news is that the soap didn't bother me. It is perhaps a bit drying to the skin, however. The shave was really good. I just need to slow down and focus on angle.

Gear
The DOC Ascension with a Shark SS is a good combination.

I am glad that the TOBS soap worked better for me today. It may take more time to dial in.

Other Thoughts
I don't know why I am ordering more software. I have so much more than I can actually use.

Good shave. I love the TOBS soap scents...but they are a bit of a chore to lather for me. Well at least it was the few times I tried it. And I haven't tried it in some time. BUt ice shave nonetheless.

Fabulous scents for sure, but man does the soap dry my skin.

The TOBS is treating me well.

Today's shave was BBS-. I think the blade in this Injector may be going south, but I got a decent shave from it. The TOBS is working well, but it does lack in moisturizing area. I did manage to nick the mole near my ear. It wasn't bad, but it is still a nick. Injectors do shave very close to the face. It was a good way to start a Sunday.

Gear
I love my Injectors. Maybe I should try the Chinese Schick blades in them again sometime.

Very happy with the TOBS. The harder, triple milled soaps do tend to be a bit harder on the face than the soft artisan soaps, but this one at least is a good performer.

Other Thoughts
My older cat freaks out every time he has to go to the vet. He is 16, so he is getting set in his ways and is increasingly territorial. He was so bad this time that the vet gave me anti-anxiety drugs for the next time he has to go in. He is such a sweet cat, except when he has to go to the vet (or when the other cat gets back from the vet).
