Just watched you video! Good stuff as always. Always learn something from the way you use a straight! LOVE THE SHIRT!!! Thanks again for the PIF and if someone has not gotten in on it...oh man they are missing out!

And Happy New Year to you too Josh! I hope this year is a great one and brings you closer to your family and your life goals!

Thanks Don!

Thank you Dave!

Man, I'm behind a few. I need to schedule a Dagwoodz marathon!

Get on it! Thanks Davec!

Whoooeeee, just saw Peter linked to Josh's YouTube channel on his FB page. Next PIF will be for 1000 subscribers!

Just watched the last one. Hair is looking gorgeous Josh! 5 days til someone hits the mega jackpot!

Great year end closer Josh. Guys really need to slow down and try to find enjoyment in little everyday things. I hope life leads you to calm waters in the coming year.

LOL...yeah, my fabulous hair, hahahahahaha! Looking forward to seeing who picked the right number!!

It's one of the main things that really keeps me involved in this hobby, is the time it takes. (drives SWMBO nuts, of course) I only wish more of society would be able to find the small amount of serenity that I experience when having a nice, slow, quiet (or music driven) shave to myself.

Nice shave and thoughts Josh.

Sounds like you got hit pretty hard and hope you're back to 100% soon. Mark this as the first Tonsorium episode where your GI issues are mentioned ?

Josh, my date is Jan 15th, 1999. Not the date I joined, per se, but that's the day that I hit 20 years.

LOL...as soon as I said it, I KNEW it was going to be, at a minimum, mentioned here. hahahahahah!

I signed my papers in mid-December, 1998, but didn't actually take my oath and ship out until the 21st of January...the more I think about it, the more I realize that it's just going to be another day. LOL

Awesome video and shave Josh. Hope you get to feeling better !

Thanks Dave!

Great vid, and glad to see the KT likes you! Sounds like the creeping crud is leaving your body.

Josh, can you ever go over or do a vlog just on soap bases alone? You seem to have a better understanding of them than most people of them. I am looking for a better understanding of what pros and qualities one should be looking for in the different bases.
Nerdy Minds want to know.

Also your views on where Wholly Kaw might fall as a soap in general.

Thanks

\n\nThanks Rich! Slowly but surely it\'s leaving...but it\'s not giving up the chest congestion too quickly. LOL\n\n

\n\nI can definitely do that Sharps! The one thing to remember about soaps and their ingredients is that the base is (IMHO) about 60-70% of how the soap performs, the rest is how it\'s processed and saponified. You can have two soaps that have the exact same ingredient list, to the mg, but are produced differently, (cold process vs. hot process, ingredients added at different points, etc...), return very different performance properties. \n\nPoint in case, Noble Otter has a relatively short ingredient list but performs almost as well as something with 3-4x the amount of ingredients such as WK Donkey Milk formula or B&M\'s reserve base. It can be counter-intuitive at times. Martin de Candre only has 7 ingredients and is a phenomenally good soap.\n\nI haven\'t done much of any research into individual ingredients, (the different butters and oils and their benefits to shave qualities), something I\'ll have to do prior to doing a video on this subject. CBLindsay would be a good person to ask as he\'s done a LOT of trial and error and research into soap ingredients.

Maybe you and Chris can team up and do a Cross World Radio Cadre Show on the topic. We need to get those going again. I thought that was a key plus of the forum and building Members.
