Razor: Colonial General Brass
Blade: Feather ProGuard (1)
Soap/cream: A&E St. Barts
Brush: Stirling Marble Brush
Aftershave1: Humphrey's Witch Hazel
Aftershave2: Adidas Dynamic Pulse
Cologne: Adidas Dynamic Pulse EdT

Well today was the first shave with the Brass General from the pass around, and this razor is HEAVY. This razor is not for the weak, you will get your work out in while using it.

I grabbed the A&E St. Barts sample that I got from the Soap Sample Swap and I really enjoyed this scent, much better than the one from yesterday. This is one I would buy. It smelled wonderful, and the performance is definitely stellar. I lathered with the Stirling brush. After using the Paladin for a few days I wanted to compare. And I must be honest the Stirling brush is stellar. The knot is not quite as soft as the Paladin, but I will say you do NOT need to spend the $$$ to get an excellent badger brush. The Paladin is an excellent piece of art though however and I do not regret the purchase and I do not regret owning it.

Homefront:

Well I am getting overwhelmed in the den, I mentioned it earlier this week, and I think the only way to cure it aside from doing something extremely drastic is to invest in some tubs, the big ones that slide under the bed. I think two should do it. I am going to be looking for those and hopefully that will help me feel less cluttered. I do not like having my soaps in 4 different spots. So I either need to find a way to get them all together or start purging some. The problem is when I start thinking purge, I start opening them and then I don't want to get rid of them. Yup I have a problem. The aftershave is starting to bother me too, as those are in two different spots. UGH! I don't want to say the S word and I most likely would not join, but I do need to slow down. Maybe to one purchase a month. I remember at the other place Mr. CBL did something that was the opposite of sabbatical but it actually slowed my purchases, perhaps he can start that up here.

Anyways off to a basketball game this evening. Glad it is the boys at this school and not the girls. Because the girls coach HATES me, yup hate is a strong word, but everytime I work one of her games, she makes it known.

Have a great weekend Cadre.

I’ve he I’ve heard good things about those Stirlings.

What is the idea to slow the soap acquisition? I am thinking of picking 5-6 soaps to use next year with the goal to finish at lest 4 if I can.

Nice shave Chad! I know that people race about Stirling brushes, and I love My synthetic, but I didnt realize they were that good!

Hope the the game went well and the pitchforks didn’t come out lol!

I feel the return of Vader is necessary...there will be no sabatacle my friend.

calling all C.E.C. agents...we have a code S in progress!

\nVery, very true, Chad.
\n\nThanks for reading Chris\n\n
The splash frustration was clear to me last video ?? You have me interested in this CBL method.........
\n\nWas it that obvious?\n\n
Nice shave and that marble handle looks great. Hope the game treats you well this evening.
\n\nThanks for reading. Was a good game West Jordan vs. Jordan... so yup a rivalry. Went to overtime actually.\n\n
Good General shave Chad! Hope the game goes well and you don’t have any hecklers!\n\n\n\n
\n\nThanks for reading. I did call a technical more on that later. And had one heckler who was there to take photos for the home school. It got to the point that we stopped the game and told him he was no longer allowed courtside. He was upset because he had a \'pass\' but once we told the athletic director the game wasn\'t going to continue until he was removed... he was quickly removed. Being allowed courtside is privilege not a right.\n\n

\n\nWell I have over 250 soaps in my den right now. So me slowing down is okay LOL. The Stirling brushes are very nice. The quality of construction isn\'t as good as my Paladin, Shavemacs, or Sorrentino brushes but they serve a purpose and are the best at there given price point and even at some higher price points. \n\n

\n\nYes the Vader. Get it going!

Razor: Colonial General Brass
Blade: Feather ProGuard (2)
Soap/cream: Siliski Citrus
Brush: Maggard's Synthetic
Aftershave1: Humphrey's Witch Hazel
Aftershave2: Pinaud Lime Sec

Well today I used another sample I got from the Soap Sample Swap the the Siliski Citrus. My lather was a tad bit off today, I think I overhydrated too early into the lathering process. But what I had was super slick. I will need to re-visit this before making a final decision on this soap. The scent was wonderful though.

The second use with the brass General was very nice and it is getting more comfortable in my hand. This provides wonderful shaves.

Well lots of errands to run, post office, fedex, Christmas shopping, grocery shopping, lowes, and a dreaded trip to Costco. The weekend is going to be crazy. Anyways I promised a story about officiating. I am going to put it in the Other interests area as it was quite good.

Straight Shave #213
Razor: Feather SS
Blade: Schick ProLine (1)
Soap/cream: Grooming Dept. Yuzu
Brush: Razorock Barrel Brush
Aftershave1: Humphrey's Witch Hazel
Aftershave2: Aqua Velva Balm

Well today's shave was interesting to say the least. The soap was a sample from GearNoir and it performed very well. Excellent suds. I used the Schick ProLine blade which was very smooth and performed very well in my Feather SS.A laps of judgement gave myself a nice cut on my chin, my fault not the soap or the blade.

Then Disaster struck as I was drying off my blade. Please Cadre a moment of silence as you look at my SOTD pic

Now I am looking for a bowl that can withstand a drop.

Homefront:

So busy this weekend that caused me to fall WAY behind on the cadre. But I am getting caught up. We finished our Christmas shopping and finally found a good price at the furniture store of a new twin bed for Connor. But that deal meant I had to put it together. It was a bit easier than Ikea furniture but still a pain. But now my son is no longer in a toddler bed and he loves his new bed. Anyways have a good day cadre!

Ebay, turkish hammered copper bowl for under $10 or I keep hearing the Timeless bowl for like $14 is awesome and unbreakable. I keep thinking I should get one.

Glad the sample performed decently for you! Bummer about the bowl, those are so nice. Guess it’s time to just go 100% face lather!

It scared my wife though so that was kind of funny.
