Yeah there is a silver lining. Plus all 4 of us with my mother in law who tagged along cooped up on the tent trailer. You can only play so many games of uno with a 4 year old before you go crazy.

The lightning did start a fire 5 miles away from my house apparently yesterday. But thankfully with the rain that followed and quick work by the firefighters they got it out quickly.

See I've been grounded because of lightning obviously but have never been able to see it from the sky. First time I saw another plane in the air out my window it kind of freaked me out. Lol.

Well today I used another soap sample that DangerousDon sent me and this one performed well, probably a tier 2 soap my lather was a little airy today but I am sure I can dial it in with more use. Where this soap wins is the scent! Smells just like fresh honey roasted peanuts to me. LOVE the smell. This is one I will probably keep an eye on the BST to hopefully pick up one day, not sure it warrants full price admission based off of scent alone but time will tell with more use. The shave today was very good, I got a nice close shave DFS + I didn't feel like chasing. Not everyone can get Dolphin smooth like *xeno* every day.

Well I have enjoyed a nice relaxing morning thus far. Megan's birthday is today and she turned 30. Yes we are young LOL. We enjoyed a nice cup of coffee together, and have enjoyed the morning. Connor goes to preschool in a couple of hours so after that we will probably relax and catch up on some TV shows. This evening I will take her out to dinner, before heading to Connor's back to school night. I am still playing catch up, watching videos, reading posts, and even the journals which I am way BEHIND on and for that I apologize but I will get caught up. My football slate is pretty full this week, a JV game tomorrow, varsity on Friday, and 3 little league on Saturday. Man its a great time of year!

As far as the soap goes...I was thinking much the same as you...until I shaved with it a couple more times. This soap is fast becoming a favorite of mine. Maybe not elite...but a really good soap nonetheless.

Thanks Don. Do they not have an actual website? Granted I didn't look real hard. But seemed to only find it on WCS.

Well with all the weight loss in our house my wife for her birthday wanted a few outfits. So while Connor was at school we ran to the store. I also got a couple of jeans, new shirts, and some socks. Was shocked to find out that on one style of shirt a size LARGE fit best and the jeans I got size 34x34. I honestly can't remember the last time I bought these sizes.

Man I want to be there again. 36x34 for me.....................It's the goatee thingy that makes him look old !

I think they were only selling on Facebook for the longest time. Then WCS picked them up not to long ago. They have a good reputation though among those who have used it. The packaging is on par or better than most soap makers. They have other scents...they just don't have any more other than the barbershop scent and the honey and tobacco.

Okay well back at it today. I finally grabbed the new soap from Lisa's and I am excited to finally get to use it for a shave. I have done some test lathers. Like most it seems I did rate the scent of strength at a 2.5 out of 5, but once lathered it goes up to a 3. The lime, patchouli, and vetiver are the 3 strongest notes to my nose which makes for a very nice scent. Some have talked about an 'animalistic' scent and to be honest I am not getting that, which makes me happy. I am not ready to offer a final rating on this soap, but I will say is that it seems very promising and it reminds me of L&L original soap base which is not a bad thing! All in alll the shave today was a win!

Well back to work in my office today. Which has seemed like forever after a week of business travel, and then 3 days of PTO. I am plenty behind at the office that is for sure. So what better to do then avoid work and just read some TSC. I do have a game this afternoon so looking forward to that. Anyways hope you all have a great day and I will catch ya on the pages!
 
Great initial impressions! I think this is going to be a soap that I think is going to be all over the place. I think you are going to get people who love it, people who are going to like it, and people that will think it is okay.
