18 years ago (damn thats a long time ago) my mom&dad and my wife and kids all flew to Florida to go to disney world. We had a connection at Dallas Ft Worth that seemed like ti should be easy. The only real problem we had was the terminal is a horseshoe shaped building and our landing flight was on one end with the connecting on the other...we litterally had to travel the furthest possible distance in the shortest amount of time conceivable. We decided we would put the hustle on and make use of the moving walkways while also jogging. at the midway point the moving walkway ended abruptly and my mom TOTALLY missed the transition. She flew at least 20 feet before coming to a skidding stop. We all turned to help her up (she was definitely a little dinged up) be she waved us off, like a scene from some war movie she was lying on the ground waving us off saying "go, go ...leave me" My dad stayed behind but my wife and I kept moving. We reached the gate with a few seconds to spare, as we began to explain what had happened a golf cart thing came barreling through the crowed to the gate...on the back was my mom with a bag of ice on her ankle. Not only had some maintenance guy found my mom in the crumpled pile she landed in, he scooped her up, got her ice and delivered her to the gate. It was quite the scene.Missed the flight guys. Boarding in 10 min now to go to Charlotte, then to Rochester. Going to be a long day
Too bad about the flight, at least you started the day with a good shave. ...oh wait, no you didn't.
