Chad's adventures of shaving, officiating, and life

Nice as possible shave under the circumstances.

Hope you are better now!

{note I resisted the urge to make the well I'm surprised a head like that doesn't ache all the time comment

Nice shave Chad...hope the headache clears up with the aforementioned excedrine.

Thanks Josh. Thankfully it cleared enough for me to be functional.

Nice shave. I hope the headache clears up quickly.

Thanks Doug

Good shave! Sorry about the headache and busy week ahead.

Well being the boss man I was told to increase my headcount and I am writing mid year evaluations.

Hope the headache clears soon, Chad.

Thanks Chris

Nice shave Hope you get some relief. Take a powder (Goody's) They're quicker

Well now I need to Google that

Straight Shave #193

Razor: Feather SS
Blade: Feather ProGuard (9)
Soap/cream: Jeeves of Hudson Street Mountain Rain
Brush: TSC Legacy Brush
Aftershave1: T.N. Dickinson's Witch Hazel
Aftershave2: St. Charles Shave Fairway

Well what a shave today. First a shout out to KJ (Spider) for sending me this sample of soap. He sent it to me due to my comment about this style of scent being one of my favorites and always trying to find the perfect scent. Well this is close! Not exactly what I am looking for, but it is very good scent wise. I will definitely need to buy this soap. The soap loaded up very well and produced a very nice lather. I was quite impressed.

SOTD Pic

No pic as I decided to record this shave. To get my full opinion and run down go watch the video.

Homefront:

Nothing crazy to report. Had a nice relaxing evening yesterday with the headache finally gone. Did get a few things loaded into the trailer as we are leaving Friday for the mountains.

Hope you all have a great Wednesday.

Nice one Chad! Looking forward to your opinions on the soap...heard quite a bit about Jeeves but haven't looked to hard at them. might have to change that.

Woohoo! More camping!

Glad to hear that the headache is gone.

I had a tub of the Jeeve's Bay Rum. Their take on bay rum is almost identical to Mystic Water's bay rum version and thus very nice. The performance of the Jeeve's, with the water at my house, was not elite status, however, as it was an airy kind of lather.

Funny you mention that as I mentioned that in my video. I am hoping it was just a first run problem as I really like the scent. But regardless I will end up buying this soap because it was still very serviceable with my set up. But I will agree a little on the airy side.

Good shave, more camping, wins all around!

I have a tub of Jeeves too, but it’s their Turkish Bath scent. Smells great and lathers well, but I think you guys are right, while it’s certainly above average for me, it’s not mind blowing.

Nice shave today. I hope you have a great weekend in the mountains. But, no skipping out on the shaves this trip.

Hmm...camping...you are packing stairs for Megan this time...right?

Most definitely! Going to make her crawl in and out too just like you teach babies to go down stairs.

My Pleasure. I love sharing my favorite soaps with others.

Well I placed an order. I will master the soap

Thanks Doug. And no promises lol

Enjoy the camping trip. Sold our pop up last season. Looking into a Kodiak Canvas Tent for the few times a year we tend to go. Can't wait to see the rustic shave videos with your gear sitting on a rock as you shave at a stream using the running water.

I'm actually jealous Chad. I would love to go camping, but unless I go out of state...it's just miserable camping here in Louisiana...no matter the time of year. Really hop you and the family have a great time!

Good stuff Chad!

Glad the headache subsided!

Thanks Craig

Thanks. We have enjoyed our pop up so far this season. The tricky part has been towing with a minivan. While all within the weight limits the tricky part is staying within those weight limits. We have a pretty good grasp on things now, but this Friday will be the first time going up into the main mountain ranges here, which will be the steepest climb we will ever attempt/encounter on our camping trips. Hoping to just maintain a solid 45MPH while on the climb. As the outdoor shaving... Might not happen on these quick trips.

I can imagine that camping with the humidity experienced there would NOT be that much fun at all.
